I believe that the team should be very hurt by a loss but also it is not be the end of the world, so not long after your shower you should be looking at attoning for the defeat next week! Oh i forgot 90% of the players at plympton don't even have a shower after the game they all have to go home and get mum to give them a bath!
Wow Jabber this is a first we actually agree on something. I totally agree with you. I hate it when blokes don't care enough to hurt after a game. Obviously guys don't care enough when they lose. I guess it's the youth of today, footy isn't as important these days to blokes like it was 10 years ago.
Id like to comment on the last few posts about Plympton FC. I agree with Jabber but would like to take it further and say that it was more about the way we lost games, this is why the personal/team disappointment should have been much greater. These men and boys have the ability to play in a div 5 or 4 GF (IMO) but unfortunately don't care enough about winning for themselves and certainly not for our footy club. Unfortunately the younger generation are more concerned with what's happening after the game. I witnessed most games last year and have to have a crack at our previous coach for his inability to make an impact on players attitudes especially during the game. I am stoked that we have this JC as our senior coach. I dont know much about his football background but I do know his attitude and character is what we need.

Having been a past player of plympton and also played under Symo I don't believe it was entirely his fault. 09 should have been the year u went up to div4. But alot of the boys believed they had won even before the pulteney game had even started. Having spoken to symo on numerous times during last season it was obvious that the guys didn't want to play for each other and there was alot of conflict within the playing group. Also the supporters weren't exactly happy with the A grade so it wasn't a happy team to be around. Now having worked wiv Justin Calderbank at hardys going on a few years back we spoke alot about footy. At the time he was playing for Noarlunga in the sfl and he was a very handy footballer. Very smart and knows his footy so could be gd for PFC. Hopefully the dogs can finally get their act together and go up to div 4. The club just couldn't handle another year down in div5.

Lockelys offering $150 to a young country footballer at the moment. They would wanna do their homework as this young lad is a fringe A Grader at best. I have no problem with clubs offering money, but with the new points rule this makes it very hard for us to keep a side together when other clubs are offering Uni Students this type of money.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

If he is a life member then that loophole needs to be changed because at our club you need to play 300 games and give at least 10 years service at a committee level, hence we don't have many life members, but it is a real honour to be given out. Other clubs give theirs out as soon as someone has played 100 games making that rule another uneven playing field.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!
I'm certainly out of the loop on this one these days. But I recon both club's could claim the "Father Son Rule" and you may want to check the fine print on the Financials. An icentive to play is part and parcel of any recruiting deal and one thing I do know is his "Old Man's" photo still hangs on the wall at Rutland Avenue.

Absolutely agree DD, Port Adelaide send our juniors to Port Districts, we lose a minumum of 4 or 5 a season, which is completely wrong and something should be done about it.

Just about 1/4 of shoc a&b grade are former plympton juniors who got told by the bay to go to shoc instead of sending them back to the club that originally fed them the players.
