With so many being made when popular ( 02-05 ) there were simply too many on the road to make them a valuable investment and people used them as daily drivers racking up the km's. In turn, many people will have stowed them away ready to wait 15-20 years for them to become rarer. Notice how you dont see many on the roads anymore? They're stored away from daylight now for the future.
The ones left on the road will depreciate quickly as the dreaded odometer reading goes up,the value will go down. Some on the road now will be over the 100,000km mark. Hardly a good investment compared to one with 30,000km on it sitting up on blocks in a shed.

Thats basically what I am after, just a car to drive, that looks good, handles great and goes quick! Not concerned about re-sale value down the track! On that, has anyone driven one and if so, please tell me about it!

I previously have worked at Holden at the time when the Monaro was for sale.
Great car, but I can't remember driving a Manual (why waste money on a sports car and go auto?)
It really didn't wow me anymore than what the standard SS does.
For around the same money you could get into a current shape 08 Falcon XR8 or 08 SS Commodore, or to go back closer to the Monaro's year, a 06/07 Clubsport or the 06/07? GT Falcon.
