I like the 6 in Race 2 in Melbourne, aptly called Good Value.

Also like Macedonian in the 5th in Melbourne. Edit, I'll put a trifecta on including 1, 8 & 12.

Not a good start to the thread... Got eclair mystic at over $7 on betfair so was quite impressed... Also over $2.50 the place so won a little... Had a few other small bets and finished up...

Using a system on betfair where I back the one I think will win and then lay another I think can't or won't win to cover my back bet... Has been very successful for me the past week...

Basically if my back bet wins I make about $60-$80 off the race or more depending on price and if not and the lay doesn't win I make around $20...

The locusts are pretty bad in that area. The sun is out today so they would be all over the place. They just sit on the ground until something comes near them then a heap of them take off. So imagine what would happen when 10 thundering horses come tearing around they would go everywhere.

That's right BB. I asked a 'jacket' at the races on Wednesday of last week. He said the state of the track was fine (Gawler) however they freaked the horses out because they take off when disturbed creating a wall of locusts. There isn't any way you could have run there by the sound of things.
