Happy new year to all posters The Charlton Tod River game on Saturday was an insult to cricket the Tod boys didnt even have a crack used an old ball out of the training gear to defend the paltry 49 they made. Haje hasnt commented further on the umpires decision for a caught behind when L Knight was on strike because he didnt hit it. Knight was dropped at mid on next ball anyway then some friendly banter between him and some of the Tod River boys got him all riled up and he responded by belting them all over the park. Ash Gray has said nothing to me in relation to the not out decision but I will follow it up with him at training tomorrow night. Maybe if some of you guys hadn't personally insulted the umps that were doing the job we may have had independant umpires available. Young Pete Baldock showed some real class with the gloves and I have no probs with handing the job over to him youth is the future of the game and old blokes like me should be playing B Grade anyway all the colts have great potential and if i have anything to do with it next year they will all be playing A Grade on a regular basis, performance based selections only for us older guys. A couple more wins for the Chargers and the nightmare of playing them in the finals will come true Good Luck boys...

biggles, comments made on this site have in no way contributed to the loss a PLCA umpire, this has been confirmed!!

Have heard from a very good source Waybacks will be acquiring a Koch from Ramblers. What's this lad like?

Insult to cricket.... not sure about... TR are ovbviosly a club with limited stock, and when a couple of their name players go early sometimes they can fall over. As for them not taking a new ball, well thats bad! Be interesting to hear Haje's comments on the issue.
Paltry 49 biggles.... wouldnt you put that down to the great pace bowling of Everybody loves Raymond and Strudy.... ??
HS 100 games, Well done buddy.... I am sure if your mates cant play with you on the day they will catch up for a beverage that nite, you will be in their hearts.... are you the first player to play 100 games or something.

"Insult to cricket". Nice one Biggles, it's a wonder why no teams like playing against you! The new ball issue is none of your concern, as long as it's fit for play we can use it. As for the rest of the crap to do with umpiring etc, just move on and get over it, I know I've got more important things to worry about and i'm well and truly over it!

well fellas it seems twenty20 has really taken off. went to the redbacks game last night, 15,000 people turned up, was packed on the hill and the outer, the only place it wasn't, was the members, typical. was good except the redbacks didn't show up. voges hit a six over the members stand, one bounce on the roof then over. also plenty of talent around, seems twenty20 is more attractive with the women also.

Haje was the opposing captain notified that TR didnt want to waste a new ball defending 49? Biggles this should be brought to the atention of the PLCA.... thats not professional enough TR... not in the Bgrade anymore!!! Whats everyone elses thoughts?
White Knight doesnt mind having a chat in the slips.... good for the game.... he cops it back when he bats... so all is fine there.
What are your thoughts on this issue bystander being the Charger delagate?

15,000 to a Redbacks game. That is a worry, with those sort of crowds the money they would make will ensure there could be a lot more of this form of the game. Doesn't really do it for me, they need to use it as a promotional tool only!! I like to settle in and watch an innings being built, it's just not cricket!!

WCP thanks for that info its good to hear

Haje we dont care if you like playing against us or not and we have copped our fair share of hemmerings over the years thats for sure but we never throw the towel in if you think thats ok what you guys dis on Saturday then thats fine all entitled to their own opinion but you guys robbed our up coming colts players of a chance to face the new ball and get a real taste for it and i dont believe that it was in the spirit of the game but as i said evryone is entitled to an opinion

ak = Aaron Kullack....WTF! How did he get on here??

Big news at Windsor Castle to be announced later on this week. Not a massive signing but a very handy pick up. Utility from PAC in Adelaide. Very sloppy on the piss but can take a mark and a booming kick for goal.

Write a letter to PLCA if you have that much of a concern about it, everyone else does! As for saying that we threw in the towel, how the hell do you know that! We knew we had bugger all chance of winning and that you blokes would have to cock up pretty badly, but we never said never! I know I was trying to get you blokes out and with a bit of luck you may have been a few more down than three. As for the B grade comment, we went into A grade because we were voted into A grade by the other clubs, a lot of people seem to be forgetting that.

Just wonder how many down they would have been with a bright new cherry haje...sens a pretty negative message to the TR bowlers...from here would appear a very defeatest attitude and the PLCA needs to take action. :x

Geez Haje, The boys are having a crack at the Toddy Gang this morning. I am gunna have to agree, you should have at least taken the new nut, then under the new laws of the PLCA you could have changed it after an over coz it wasn't working then brought out the old ball looking for some reverse swing!!!

Any news on how many chaps have pulled out of the Hendo Shield sides yet?
Hey Panther, Hows was bowls last nite, only needed a call and I would have played!!
