Warilla - New South Wales...

Post by A Mum »

Okay - yes it's me again - hardly travelled in my life and need help pretty please.

Does anyone have any local knowledge about Warilla?

And/Or any idea about the best way to get there?
(Fly, drive, is there a train? etc, etc, etc)

Seems to be half way between Canberra and Sydney just to be difficult...lol.

Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated O:)

Thankyou O:)

If its halfway between Sydney and Canberra and you're flying I'd definately fly to Canberra.
My brother lives in West Sydney and reckons its almost as quick to drive to Canberra from his place as the Sydney CBD!

A Mum, Warilla is near Dapto on the East coast of NSW.

You've got lots of options here.

I'd suss out how to get to either Wollongong (by flight or rail) or Albion park (flight or rail) or fly to Wollongong and drive to Warilla (google maps tells me it's 1/2 hour in the car). I reckon the drive down the coast from Wollongong would be scenic too - just that area is pretty nice from memory.

Another option, fly to Canberra, hire and car and drive. At a recent wedding at Moss Vale (heading East from Canberra), we drove from Canberra and it's pretty leisurely. I think it took a good 2.5 hours. Warilla would be another hour on top of that.

LAST resort, fly to Sydney, drive or fly to Wollongong, drive to Warilla. That could take you 8 or 9 days depending if you get on the wrong highway on the way out of Sydney.

I suppose it depends how much time you've got to spend and how much money you've got to spend as well.

Send through any questions you may have.

If you can fly to the Illawarra regional airport then its only about 15 minutes up the road
And its really nowhere near the Hume Highway from Canberra to Sydney
