to bomb out in two prelim finals is very disappointing, but now the emotion has settle, I think most people would say in 2005 Adelaide exceeded expectations, at the beginning of that season most predicted Adel to finish bottom four, so a top four finish was a good result

last year, most outside the club would tag the crows as chockers, the week leading up to the prelim I predicted a crows win and was disappointed with the home prelim loss, but then again there are as lot of footy judges now predicting the Eagles to have a run similar to the Lions three premierships...

so did the crows choke or were they beaten by a better side, my view is the latter

the club is definitely in a stronger position now then before Neil took over, and as I said in the previous post, my expectation for 2007 is that both Craigy and the crows will improve, is this good enough to make a GF, well there are a lot of other things that need to go your way, one is luck, which Sydney have had plenty of in the past two seasons

Dont know about other Crows supporters. But not having anywhere near the best list in 05-06, id prefer 3rd, 4th than outside the 8. Good years, just West Coast were that bit better. We'll just have to try again. Get ourselves a top quality full forward type and we will be unstoppable.
Difference between Ayres and Craig. Respect of playing group. Goes a long way for team cohesion.

What a load of CRAP. We were on top of the ladder for most of the year. As we got closer and closer to the finals we choked. When we capitulated to Port Adelaide in the showdown I knew that our finals campaign would be brief. It will happen again this year...and when it does Craigy will get the boot.
Go support another club then mate. Craig will there for a few more years yet mate, dont worry about that.

But in his defence, he DID get the Cats to (yet another losing) Grand Final in 1995! :?

Remember Robert Shaw was an assistant coach at Essendon from 1999 to 2005
including the Bomber's shit hot 2000 season where they only dropped one game! :D

Exactly! Blight did little more than drop the three Mc's,Guinness,Dermott,Jarman.Robert Shaw, although totally flawed in his coaching style, had much to do with the squad Blight inherited.
