The Hills lads for Houghton I think are the Davis brothers. Josh and Liam. Josh was a captain out at birdwood. He's a good lad. Solid defender. Brother was unproven at hills level but heard he can kick a bag, but quite young. Anylads that follow would only be B graders, but in Div 6 they'd be more than handy

Josh is the older brother. Liam was a goal machine in Hills juniors. I know they live close, but can't see why he'd go from Div 1 Hills League to Div 6

Haven't heard much about any of them

We have had a pretty quiet off season so far. We don't seem to have lost any key players which is a nice change from the year before where 5 of our top 10 Best and Fairest players had to move on. I know we would like to recruit a couple more top line players (like everyone else) because we already have a lot of depth at the other end. It's a bit hard to recruit when we don't pay players though. Our recruits generally are old scholars coming back from playing elsewhere, kids straight out of year 12 (but a lot of them have a junior club that they return to) or mates of current players. Will know more once pre-season kicks off first week of Jan.

Had a little get together BBQ at the club tonight to kick off our 2011 pre-season. Our coach has put some ideas and plans in place which will hold us in good stead if we stick to them. Just looking through whats been planned out, I feel it's going to be a very enjoyable and beneficial pre-season for us. Can't wait to start!

The search is on to find someone to fill those shoes, its going to be hard to find someone that can smoke a pack a game and still find time to remind everyone how good they were bu we will try :D

Yes AF, Rolla will be our player/coach again next season. As I said before there has been alot of talk about possible recruits but we won't know fully until preseason starts.

As far as I know we've got Moons and Rory back, aswell as Dumpy. We might even have Bannerman from Districts come across. Rolla has asked 4/5 guys that he played with at Birdwood to come out for us and he's fairly confident they will. He has also asked Tom Matoga from Hope Valley, who played with Rolla at Birdwood, to come out for us aswell.

Is it true that moons has talked a couple of blokes into moving down from wagga and join him at the black and white?

Unsure as to what I'm doing next year AF as I'm doing arvo shifts now and like you I'm dedicated to training, so it might be just best to finally hang em up :)

I think you have one more year left in ya mate, the B's are in for a very good year I reckon. They just missed out on the finals last year so have less ground to make up than the A's.
