Bird one thing for sure is that people could argue black and blue about the money factor in footy these days. I suggest half the things written on here are unture or simply players blowing there own trumpet, Not for one minute do i think clubs don't pay players money but i find it hard to relate to the amounts players are said to be getting. I for one think in the SAAFL players shouldn't be paid anymore than $200-$300 a game even that is good money. Players playing for anymore than that are playing for the wrong reasons in my eyes. Lets be honest if your not striving to play at the higest level possible why should you be rewarded with money in the lower leagues. As for the points system i honestly think there has to be some kind of rule that clubs losing players in groups in a year have to somehow be rewarded more points. If they don't i think we will find clubs going down divisions in a hurry. Im not sure that a good thing for the SAAFL itself. Is anyone aware how many points each clubs gets?[/quote]
i cant see anyone feeling sorry for salis nrth its a shame these players have left but i think its a huge case of karma as you sh!t on your club blokes year after year it will come back and bite you fair on the a$$ as i believe it has in this case.

not sure if this has already been posted but heard Joey Hay is absolutly fuming at a couple of his mates, he was under the impression everyone was hanging around attempting to win a flag, so signed a contract next thing he knows every one has taken off.

correct mate he thought everyone was staying and now his fuming as the writing is on the wall for the hawks to be a bottom 3 side.
Is Matthew Phillips staying at Salisbury North next season? How many have they actually lost? Cutting, Jordan, Pape, Hazeldine, Mardling, Walker, Laurencic have all been mentioned

there has been mention of matty moving on but i dont think anything is set in stone, mardling walking and Laurencic definatly gone, also heard brad and Mick Hood along with a couple of other fringe players looking for new homes

Ross and Rotolo have also been mentioned somewhere, not sure if they're confirmed outs or not though.

Players probably sick of being yelled and sworn at. Not the smartest page in the book MT.
Thats intersting, i have played under him before and thought he was a good coach, things may have changed over the last few years and you might be right, but never used to be the type of coach that would let his emotions get the better of him and always seemed pretty calm.

He was coaching you as a junior Picapoo so was probably on his best behaviour. Although if you couldnt make him lose his S*&t then i dont know who could

i guess it was 19s but he did coach the 2nds aswell and always seemed in control and he never really went over the top, and yes you are right Sturtman if i cant bring a nasty streak out in a coach, i put it to you that you find someone that can
I Agree piccachu, I too had tyles at the maggies and found him to be a great coach and somebody i learnt a bit from. Shame if he has changed as i thought he had the respect of the players when i was under him.

I think Tyles is probly just a bit old school with his methods which have so far been proven to be successful anyway, i would be guessing a 70% winning percentage over his years coaching, am thinking those who are whinging about the yelling and screaming have that mixed up with being passionate about something and need to grow some balls.
