I'm just wondering how Giles got so much written about him, for the fact that he sucks.

Next we'll be hearing about Ackland.

From seeing him play all year I reckon he has done enough to get another go somewhere. He had a cracking year for us and will win our B&F IMO. Can go forward and has good hands so might fit in with the new interchange rules.

Is he even good enough, really, I dont think too many forwards will be worried about seeing this bloke come to them, nor an ageing/injury riddled Bock...

Gold Coast will be whipping boys if they have that sort of back half lined up.

Coad is fine and back into his holiday training program, certainly showed no signs of his injuries when I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago whilst home on a break.

Gold Coast CEO confirmed that he would be upgraded on to the main list and most phantom Round 2 sides for the Gold Coast have him in their side somewhere.

If his draft paperwork was up to date at the end of 2008 he certainly would have played for Hawthorn they were that keen on him they asked the AFL to bend the Draft rules to let him in so they could grab him.

Coad will be alright for them, I still think they need some forwards though. Thought they would have looked at Brad Miller.

Gold Coast has claimed another exciting youngster, signing attacking defender Joel Wilkinson as a Queensland zone priority.
Wilkinson, who has only been playing Australian football for two years, was a standout at the recent NAB AFL Draft Combine, where he blitzed both the speed and endurance tests.
The 18-year-old, from Elanora on the Gold Coast, loomed as a potential top-30 pick in next month's national draft, but with the Suns registering him as a zone selection he is taken out of the draft pool and Gold Coast does not have to use a draft pick to secure his talents.

Gold Coast will play its first home and away match against Carlton at the Gabba in round two.
The Suns, who have a bye in round one, will tackle the Blues in a night game on Saturday, April 2

The first home and away clash between Gary Ablett and his former club Geelong will take place at the rebuilt Gold Coast Stadium in round 10 of the 2011 season.

And they will still be searching for their first win of the season (Gold Coast Ablett Football Club, that is) 8)

Ablett aside port had a far better side. Ablett will need to kick 6 each week for them to get close.
Maybe we should run a tipping comp for how many gc will win in 2011. I think they will do well to win 2
