They've hardly given up anything have they? They've essentially got him for the difference between their 2nd round compensation pick (for Krakouer) and pick 35 which they also got from Gold Coast, which isn't a massive gap.
You're right. I misread it. I thought they were also giving up Pick 35, not getting it. My bad.

Perhaps he saved his worse game (or at least three quarters) for the GF? From the little I've seen of Norwood, I thought Puopolo and Lower are more effective?
Now that you are straight on who gets what, I think Flipper is very good value to the Power who are always looking to add foot speed to their game he is better than Krakapower for a start and they get an extra pick.
As for Pups and Lower you are right, both ranked higher in NFC player awards and deserve a chance and will hopefully (for them) go in the draft selections
Cheers,

Not a massive gap at all.
In fact given we were going to use the compo pick this year and the Gold Coast have stated they will not use it this year, we effectively traded pick 35 for....

Pick 35!
Yep, corrected myself at the top of the page.
What pick would it be if Port finished 8th in 3 years? No doubt the picks are similar, but in a few years all those picks become better and it's the flexibility to take it any of the next 5 they lose as well.
For those who missed it Port Power have picked up Simon Phillips with a deal the GC. Great move Port and he gets to stay in Adelaide and play for us if not selected with Power. Now just need an Adelaide based club to pick up Populino and Lower so they are not lost to the Redlegs.

Honestly it still wouldnt be that much better.
At best it would be pick 24 but by the time you take into consideration all of the first and second round compensation picks from both GC and GWS being used it is likely to be closer to 35 anyway.
oh the irony that Phillips goes on to make megabucks in the AFL, whilst Callinan gets missed out. JUST FOR YOU, GOLEGS, (I don't have a problem with posts that aren't extremely derogatory or grossly over-exaggerated & I would post on your forum but they won't accept me.)

Slow Centurian, Slow it took you 6 hours to look that up on the Norwood Forum and catch up with the flow,
Anyway did you enjoy lunch and few extra post GF ales today, good luck to you, all I got to do was more of the wife's wish list on the fridge. I know where I would rather be
