he has been pretty good for us considering his injuries IMO.
Last year when Jade came in he played some bloody good footy! I just think he will be a superstar in a good side simply cause he is a front runner!

Still hurts we didn't get Franklin tho :(

BWAHAHAHA - "he has been pretty good for us"......Oh thats GOLD CK.

This trade week ,more than any other, will be a case of better the devil you know. If clubs trade for a bloke now and find he is a dud by mid-2011 they are stuck with him for another year until the GWS is out of the way of the drafts.

Always thought this one would be more smoke and mirrors than any other draft period.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Maybe you should learn what the program at Richmond does for young indigenous kids before you pass judgement!

The trade would happen via the players manager and therefore wouldn't go ahead as the manager wouldn't be able to agree to terms.

another different question, using paul medhurst as an example......

what if we traded meddy back to freo for chris tarrant, then the day after it's all finalized and a done deal, meddy retired. obviously he would forfeit all future pay and whatnot, but would there be a single thing Freo could do about it, as it would mean they basically gave Taz away for nothing.

Looks like a deal to bring Tambling to Adelaide is close, it's just hanging on the Jacobs deal. Unlike others I think Tambling has talent that he is still yet to realise and perhaps a change of environment will do that. Worth the punt I reckon.

Jacobs - if Carlton want to play hard ball, I say tell them to get stuffed. We'll take our chances in the pre-season draft and if we still don't get him, I don't reckon it's the end of the world. IMO Sellar showed a bit at the end of last year, McKernan is a talent that deserves a chance and Moran is handy also if he can get his body right.

Will be interesting to see how things develop as the week goes on.

The AFL would investigate the circumstances and would compensate Freo accordingly, probably in the next seasons draft.

I also agree. In a new environment I think Tambling has the potential to shine and I would also prefer to give McKernan game time instead of Jacobs. DO NOT want to lose McKernan for lack of oppertunities. I don't know much about Walker but unless he has a truck load of pace I wouldn't bother.

I think Adelaide and Richmond have more or less agreed to swap Tambling for their Bock pick but will not finalise this deal until Jacobs deal is done. Carlton want this pick for Jacobs although the Crows have offered up their second round pick, which sits at 32 (before the compensation picks are considered). I think the crows will need to offer this pick as well as a swap of pick 14 for Carlton's 18 to get this deal completed.

Bulldogs appear to be falling out of the race for Walker as they have lost thier first 2 picks and look likely to offer their compensation pick to Brisbane in exchange for Sherman. The crows will hold their first round draft pick, meaning that the most they can give up for Walker is pick 49 (which becomes mid 50's after compensation pick) unless they can get something earlier for Griffin.

If Adelaide were to get all 3 players and lose Griffin for a draft pick then we would have 5 spots on the senior list with at least 2 rookie upgrades (Jaensch and Henderson) so a maximum of 3 draft picks including the PSD.
