When they beat your team by 119 points in a GF, then you can hate them.

I do. I reckon I have a right to, seeing they have lured away the best player in the land from my club and caused me some serious angst

If you want to blame anyone mate, blame the 16 CEO's of the other AFL clubs ( yours included ) who signed off on the concessions available to the Suns and GWS.

Or perhaps the AFL for wanting to expand.

Why should you blame the Suns for wanting to do the best they can to be as competitive as they can as quickly as they can?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

If I want to be shitty at the Suns, I will be. I don't need you or anyone to tell me any different as to how I should think. I'm not at ******* kindergarten.

The AFL should be the target for fans anger if they feel the need to dump on someone. Even then - I'm pretty sure most clubs had a say in what concessions the GC would get when they were proposed a couple of years back. It's too late to cry foul now.

- Bargain basement? People having a crack at Geelong's father/son selections have the benefit of 20/20 hindsight. Ablett was nothing more than a promising junior whose progress was fast tracked at Geelong by the Ablett name. Scarlo is another. He was dead set ordinary earlyy on but because he didn't turn out to be a spud like Jason Cloke (or David Clarke for that matter) all of a sudden it's 'lucky Geelong - bargain basement. Bull5hit.

- He helped deliver. Yes, he did because he was developed by the club, in other words I rate the efforts of Stephen Wells, Neil Balme, Mark Thompson, Brenton Sanderson, Frank Costa and Brian Cook's contributions as far more important to the resurgence of the GFC than Gary Ablett's on field efforts. Another thing that was developed was the sense of team. In other words top players accepted less than what they were worth so the group could stay together. Then all of a sudden two teams overtake us and the bloke with the most market value pissess off with on the bigest paycheck in the history of the game. If you can respect that good luck to you but as far I am concerned he is a dead set sell out.

- The fans are entitled to cry fowl as much as they like. There is no one more loyal than a fan. Not many fans swap clubs. If the most loyal part of the football community doesn't have the right to cry fowl against disloyalty then there is no passion in the game so why bother? After all it wasn't the fans who agreed to give the Gold Coast **** the world why we lose our best player.

We haven't tanked, we haven't had priority draft picks, we haven't cheated the salary cap we haven't had an extended salary cap, we have never had an AFL concession of any kind, we have developed our own stadium, we can't play finals in our stadium we don't get to play top teams at our stadium (which is laughably considered an advantage to Geelong by Pies fans defensive about playing 17 games at the MCG in a year) and we were penalised for doing well with our father son picks.

Real Booney: When they beat your team by 119 points in a GF, then you can hate them.

If you want to blame anyone mate, blame your coach who admitted defeat the week before the match by talking carp about 'this is where the 2007 premiership picture is going to be' and then watching him sit on his hands for two quarters doing nothing while the Cats piled on the goals

So your definition of being hard is to bend over and smile while the AFL greases you up and shafts you from behind? No thanks, I'll defend my club from the multitude of trolls who support lesser clubs who have sprung out of the woodwork all of a sudden because the AFL has managed to do what their team could not.

I think that it isn't a coincidence that not many Saints and Pies fans have been laying in to us. They know they can beat us where it counts. They also know another bull5hit 'club' is coming in next year and that they might be next on the hitlist.
