Still bl00dy freezing and I've been home for half an hour...

Well done Dogs, it was awesome....

Just on a side note, there appeared to be an elderly Glenelg gentlemen who was undergoing CPR in the school carpark... I hope everything is OK with him and he comes good.

What a brilliant win, I cant remember leaving a minor round match with such a feeling of satisfaction before, the only one that comes close would be round 11 2005.
So happy right now, roll on the finals :D

i think we witnessed a great contest by two fully committed teams in atrocious conditions (even though it is a winter sport) given the fact that it was played in heavy conditions, with gale force winds & heavy rain at times, the main difference between the teams were the fact that central kicked 'goals in a row' havelberg 3 in the first 15 minutes of the game & they got two in the last 3 minutes of the 3rd term which were very decisive in the context of the match, central did look more dangerous going forward all day, as for the umpiring i thought they gave the bloke putting his head over the ball the free kicks & that's the way it should be, while our injuries didn't help i think rubbers made a crucial blunder in the naming of the team & not changing it today when it was obvious the weather bureau was right & bringing in snook or o'grady & dropping mcginity back....if ever there was a certainty who'd get the 3 votes in a game it'd have to be havelberg in todays game as his haul in those conditions was a sensational effort
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Dogs to good today, played to the conditions better than us, some dumb footy by us in the last five mins of the 3rd qtr (tried to play dry weather footy) gave Centrals an unassailable lead.

Looking forward to playing tehm again in 2 weeks time.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Dogs played good no doubt about that and deserved there win but plenty of positives for us still, played one down from the first quarter on and two down from half time, plus bring in Meyer and Sellar and we look a lot better. Just hope we can get our best 21 on the park or close to with some injuries today, even though we will be without Bradley and Willoughby who probably wont come up for finals. Time will tell but very confident heading into next week that we can match it with the dogs when we play them in two weeks time.

Bradley played U/18s today, will be available for senior selection next week.

Your confidence is well founded - you will have the wood over whoever you play next week and also an extra days break which will be very important.

Meh. Not fussed about the result. We've finished top the past two years and it's done us no good, so change tact. Dogs used the ball better going forward, and the fact Glenelg didn't have a bench after half time severely hurt the rotations on the quagmire.

Central turned the ball over at half back with NO PLAYERS AT ALL behind the ball (in the Tigers forward line) where Glenelg pushed the ball inside their 50 with a 2 on 1, Sibenaler being the 1.

Glenelg looked as though they were in a very strong position to score and after sprinting about 80m at full pace against 2 Glenelg opponents, Sibenaler put on a desperate smother on an Alex Grima kick inside the Bays 50.

As Roy Laird said back at presentations, it is things like that as to why the club is happy to fly Evil down to be back in the league side.

Looks fairly ominous that the Doggies are firing up for another September campaign.

Commiseration's to the Bays on their injury count today I do hope its not as bad as reported as that would be a massive injustice after what they have put into this season to have a go at the finals.
