Not necessarily the best, but good players who were my favourites for various reasons...
ADELAIDE: Shaun Rehn for his ability to lift a side on his own and Bunji McLeod for his sheer brilliance
BRISBANE: Jonathan Brown. What a leader
COLLINGWOOD:Nathan Buckley for the way he used the ball so effectively and rarely played a bad game
ESSENDON: Mark Harvey because we played school exchange footy against him so I always followed him.
FITZROY: Micky Conlon. Just loved the guys exhuberance and energy. Looked like someone you'd hate to run into...
FREMANTLE: Chris Groom. For allowing us to have Macca
GEELONG:Gary Ablett X 2. Love/d watching both of them play
HAWTHORN: Dermie. Played it hard and tough and could take a mark too...
MELBOURNE: Always had a Robbie Flower number 2 on my Demons guernsey as a kid. Loved the way he played
NORTH: Xavier Tanner. Was the hardest card to get in the footy card set back in the 80's so I admired him for his evasiveness ;)
PORT: David Rodan for triumphing against the odds.
RICHMOND: Matthew Richardson for being a passionate, one club man
ST KILDA: Nathan Burke and Robert Harvey for never giving up
SYDNEY: Paul Kelly was a gun. Hard nut and great leader
WEST COAST: Peter Matera was a champion player who could win teh game off his own boot.
WESTERN BULLDOGS: Simon Minton-Connell. Everyone loves a good 'Mint' chest mark
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

ADELAIDE - Darrern Jarman - Freak!

COLLINGWOOD - Nathan Buckley - shame he moved to the Collywobbles.
ESSENDON - Adam Ramanauskas - had to deal with more than just playing.
FREMANTLE - Pav. FULL STOP!!
GEELONG - Jimmy Bartel - Hard as nails and oozes class, but surprisingly goes unnoticed by most people.
HAWTHORN - Dermott Brereton - 1989 GF.
MELBOURNE - David Neates - Great leader and mark.
NORTH - The King.
PORT - Probably Chad Cornes.
RICHMOND - Nathan Foley - Hard man.
ST KILDA - Tony Lockett - Enough said.
SYDNEY - Paul Kelly - Another born leader.

Adelaide- Andrew McLeod - make the game look so easy, every time someone looked like catching him he would somehow find the next gear. Found the footy and always used it well
Brisbane- Jonathan Brown - Bloke you would want to go in the trenches with, great player and brilliant leader.
Carlton- Stephen Kernahan - One of the great CHF's and as passionate as they come about the CFC
Collingwood- Nathan Buckley - Most skilled footballer on both sides of the body i think ive seen
Essendon- James Hird - Played tall and small, lead from the front and awesome to watch in full flight
Fitzroy- Paul Roos - Solid as a rock in defence, great coach too
Fremantle- Matthew Pavlich - need i say why?
Geelong- Gary Ablett Snr - FREAK! the things he did on the field....1/1000th of his skill and id be a happy man
Hawthorn- Dermott Brereton- the 89 GF defines courage. Hard as nails and personality to entertain
Melbourne- Jim Stynes - Great story, from Ireland to a brownlow and will go down as a legend at melbourne. Great bloke also
North Melbourne- Wayne Carey - Never seen a man dominate a game like he could, at his best was just about unstoppable
Richmond- Matthew Richardson - Wore his heart on his sleeve, admired his passion for the game
St.Kilda- Robert Harvey - What an athlete this man was, one of the blokes im genuinely sad for that he didnt get to taste the ultimate prize
Sydney- Tony Lockett - Even though some might class him as a saint, ill throw him in here. Best full forward you will ever see and his record will never be broken.
West Coast- Ben Cousins - Aside from his choices off the field, on the field this bloke was a gem to watch, skill to die for and supreme athlete. Im forever thankful for his 2nd half of the 06 prelim ;)
Western Bulldogs- Tony Liberatore - Will admire his ability to be successfull at being a pr*ck

From the Power - Warren Tredrea - One of the best CHF of the early 2000's and ports most influential player.
