I wasn't confident as a Port supporter a week ago. However with Goodwin out and Boak in i started to feel a little more confident later in the week.

A good effort from Port today, its just one game, but it shows theres a bit of potential to work with there.

Well could I be any happier? Not so.

Cassisi, Chaplin, Brogan, Carlile, Boak, Cornes,Thomas,Ebert and Rodan were all fantastic today. What was with allowing Chaplin to dictate across half back while Stevens and Bock had no influence at the other end for the first half and a bit? Not until almost half time did Adelaide make any attempt to quell Chaplin and by then it was too late.

Talk about game changing tackles. How about Westhoff ( who had his best game for nearly 2 years ) on Johncock. Super.

Carlile kept Tippett to no influence, ( Tippett struggled with Carlile's strength ) although he had lots of chances Walker was fairly well held by Salter and Dangerfield only popped up from time to time to go head first in and then mess it up.

Could I be any more frustrated? Not really.

For those who watch Port closely and have done so for the last 3 months today showed what we are capable of when we play 4 quarters. Most often of late we have played for 1/4 or a 1/2 but the rest has been lacklustre. Why does it take a Showdown to bring that sort of effort out of our blokes? Frustrated? You bet.
