Anyway, lame duck teams are:

Port Adelaide, Essendon, Richmond, West Coast, Melbourne.

Also don't rate in the top 8:

Sydney, Fremantle and Carlton.
Right in front of me. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

Talk about getting ahead of yourselves. LMFAO. Get in the 8, get past week one of finals, get past week 2 of finals and get past the 'Pies, the Saints or Geelong on Prelim Final day then get chirpy.

Yeah yeah, Port this and Port that you will say, but this debate is not about Port. We are gawn. Might even snaffle some timber work...

Yeah fair enough Boon but I honestly wouldn't put much creedence on what gets brought up on Five double cornes 3 and a half minutes after the final siren is gone by a small few crazy knitting grandmas... we all know that !!

But getting ahead of yourselves and being passionate and riding the rollercoaster is what this game is about and plenty of people in this state were chirpy and passionate 9 weeks ago when all was rosy and 3/4 of the town were seeking counselling...
Now its on the other foot and it will be like that for ever and a day.

Not sure about that...

Anyway, yes, enjoy getting ahead of yourselves if you like. But 2005,2006 and 2009 might pay as reminders for you. I rarely think of 2002,2003 for the very same reasons. ;)

You must have been listening to different talk back than i was Booney, yeah a few supporters get carried away but what % of supporters ring talk back radio???
Most callers were happy, as they should be. The young blokes took it up to Geelong and got the points, doesnt matter if Geelong were supposedly fatigued/flat yada yada yada :( it doesnt matter, the important part of the result was the improvement. Finals = Bonus, beating quality sides/continued improvement of the young lads = AFC Main Goal for 2010.

Not winning premierships when in a strong position to do so, isnt getting ahead of yourself. Its simply missed opportunies, and doesnt it suck as a supporter. But hey only 1 team each year takes their opportunity.

I think you may have misinterpreted what I was trying to say Booney. I meant its now on the other foot here in SA and that on again, off again, on again, off again wheel will be like that for ever and a day no matter who you support. It wasn't a dig saying the current situation of teh SA teams will remain... As much as I'd like it to... ;)
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Only way to be, no point shooting from the hip, if you do and proven wrong suck it up. Alot of people have been proven wrong by the crows this season crows/port/others and now it all doesnt seem so bad does it

so say people think the crows are genuine finals contenders, would be an accuratn statement as 'some' idiots do  but you will find the majority of supporters are more educated and realistic. Every team has them idiots unfortunatly.

Fair to say it is a little gut wrenching, but I've seen enough good times in both the SANFL and AFL to realise I have had my fun and you cant have a win every year.

Not to say I like it or will get used to it, but what option do I have? :(

the crows played 3 in 13 days, huge difference.... and the perth trip is the hardest..
