TROTS 2010 all Tips and Chat in here

Post by mal »

Just thought it would be nice to instigate a trotting thread for this month
Harness harp
Tips from whoever
Gossip
And whatever else

VICTORIAN RAIDERS
Yeah they come over with thier nags and plunder our Cup races, Derbys, Oaks
They invariably win our $$$$ and take it with them
And thats the way it is panning out too often in recent times
Last Monday at GDP The Vics from memory won 6 races and were placed in at least one other race
This time they came over and took away the cash from a few of our restricted races
Its got to be a concern how the $$$$ is leaving our state
The solution ?

FRIDAY GDP 2/7
2YO TROTTERS CLASSIC race
6 local baby trotters , and 1 victorian
R7-6 Waikare Aristicrat is the victorian
Last start 2nd in the Tatlow Final at Melton
This was a $30,000 race
Friday night it is in a heat worth $2,500
Gunna be hard to beat, but then again 2yo trotters are prone to making mistakes
But on form it looks like more $$$$ being taken out of our state

The only way to really fix it is have SA owned and SA trained races (sort of like what they do for greyhounds)
then after they are filled up have some races with SA only horses have some other races which are available for open nominations.
1 problem we might see with this structure is having 5 or 6 8 (or less) horse races then 1 or 2 12+ horse races.

At least we get to see some reasonable quality horses here occasionally..
Do ordinary horses really deserve to win the bigger money ???
Not in my opinion...

i've got a contact in victoria & the mail is that r7 no 6 is a moral but after doing the form i think we'd be lucky to get $1.40 & i wouldn't take that about a 2yo trotter

i thought r5 no 2 maybe of more value tonight
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Wins at $1.80. Is that Mals biggest priced winner that he has tipped ever?

Well done Mal
July 11th 2012....

The MAiL was correct
Waikare Aristicrat wins

Waikare Aristocrat
R10-6 Looks the winner in the Trotters Classic
Only needs to trot to win this
WIN

EXOTIC BANKERS
R2-2 Dionysus Gold ...be prominent and should be in the finish
R3-9 River Wild...enourmous win last start, given any luck must surely be in the finish
R4-2 Millwood PC...as long as the driver drives it cold , will sswoooooooooooooooooooooooooop into the finish, big run last start

Those 3 pacers are racing well and all deserve to be favourites
They can all win, and certainly can all figure in the placings

I Think River Wild went ordinary cos it had it too easy, was only in the Death tonight rather than 3 wide the trip as it's previous start when it had the audacity to win. ;)

Perhaps that River Wild gut buster 3 wide all the way win = too jaded Saturday night ?????

QUESTION
I set my tape up the last 2 weeks to video the trots
I started it at the 5-30 part 2 of SKY1
For some reason it only tapes for about 3 hours
What am I doing wrongggggggggggggggggggggggg ?
