Johnathon Hay in sublime condition!!

I thort Michael Slater had a Bi-polar disorder which led to him being depressed. Im no Physician, but I think that depression is not a bi-polar disorder?

Bipolar disorderis a manic depressive illness, it is an illnessis that causes unusual shifts in a person's moods, these symptoms are different to your good days and bad days which most people go through, the symptoms of bipolar disorder can be severe.

Yes, Bipolar disorder can result in poor job or even suicide. but the good news is once diagnosed it is very treatable and people with this illness can lead full, productive and rewarding lives.

As I said, the toughest time is living with the illness and not knowing

In Hay's case by memory he was diagnosed in August, he is well in to his treatment, he has sounded out Schwass for support and advise and he also has a fantastic role model at the club in Thompson, so I personally would not accept his illness as the reason for his conditioning

Thompson is an example how quickly this illness can be managed once diagnosed

I dont think any of us should comment any further as none of us know the FULL issues Hay is going through - all im saying from a supporters perspective is that its great to see him on the track and trying to undo some of the wrongs on '06

that's cool, I just hope for Hay he can turn his footy around, he's got plenty of work in front of him, I have my doubts but I hope he proves me wrong

ex girlfriend had/still has bi-polar & was a non-compliant patient. Made life very difficult (throw in drug abuse on top- very common as they go for an easy "high/feel good"), & the mediaction causes weight gain, which in turn causes low self esteem etc.
Best of luck to Jonothan, at least he has a support network & the financial ability to get professional help- something a lot of sufferers don't have.

well lets just say he has been in the same paddock as Hay, I would love to find out his time because I think most park land footballers would beat his recorded time

The Roos need him to come back fully fit and ready to go. He has the talent but has gone off the rails recently. But as its probably been said. Pre season is the best time to start working hard!

Bottom 8 like they always do? Been watching footy for about 3 years by the looks of things. Missed the nineties obviously. I'm no North Melbourne supporter by the way.
