Well done Tyson on a very distinguished career, has been a wonderful servant of the AFC and the accolade he receives is highly deserved.

As for farewell games, personally I don't agree with them.

I think im of a similiar view CP. To be honest, im not sure what to make of all this. Part of me thinks Edwards is a bit of a sook, but then again i dont know the whole story.

The whole thing has been a mess, but then again, thats par for the course this year.

Doesnt change how good of a player he has been though.

poor effort crows and craigy

Bullsh!t, poor effort by Edwards if anyone. They told him they couldnt guarantee him a farewell game, they were honest.

can't see them making the finals thou felch....has been there for 15 loyal years....deserves a send off game for him and the supporters...

Spot on. A very good player, Champion gets used too much and I am not 100% he was/is a champion.

Yeah, as i said already, not sure how i feel about all of this stuff. I am sorry to see him go though.

Some people may not agree with me here, but the group of four players - Ricciuto, Goodwin, Edwards and McLeod are a once-in-a-lifetime group. All 300-gamers, great players and the no. 1 reason, IMO, why Adelaide have been so competitive for a long time. Name another group of better players, who have played that amount of games. It will be a sad day when the last of those calls it a day.

Goodwin should of warned Edwards as i'm sure Goody knew last week this was going to happen thats why goody got in first & announced his retirement.
As for not giving him a send off i bet the club was copping it from supporters left right & centre then realised after egg on their faces they should of shown more respect in the first place to this champion.

Now you're having a cry as well. No wonder you needed it explained to you. If it was good enough for Terry Daniher and Simon Madden to play out the year in the Magoos (IIRC they might have gotten that 'farewell' game in the end) why isn't it good enough for Edwards? The Crows didn't say they weren't going to give him that farewell match either, just that they couldn't promise him one. His reaction is most revealing and most definately a dummy spit in my book.

Not sure of your question jointman but when Madden and Daniher left that was 92, so early AFL era.
