REB not sure if you would calling it spitting the dummy, perhaps he has just now come to terms with the fact that hes just not up to it anymore.

He deserves a final send off too. It's a disgrace. 320 odd games for the one club and Craigy couldn't guarantee him one last game. No wonder I can't stand that team.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Crows are a smart team... Let's get all our good players to retire.

Goodwin has been far from worst
Edwards had been one of their better players this year

So, who's next?

Petrenko?
Dangerfield?
It's Somma Time!

LMAO-true. For all the good things said about Edwards over the years ( much I agree with ) this appears to be out of character for him. He will now be remembered as the bloke who got dropped and then quit 'coz he probably wouldn't get another game. Sad end to a career, be it a first year rookie or a 320 game veteran. Sadder if it is the latter.

Should have been chin up tiger, head to Mannum and be BOG for the Bloods and head to AAMI for one last hurrah and then retire.

i agree that it's a sad way to end a 320 game a career, but everyone ripping in to him should atleast hear the bloke explain himself and his decisions that he made in todays press conference. Then you have the right to comment. I will be very surprised if he comes accross bitter - but we'll see.

Of course he wont come across as bitter. He has had 24 hours to go through the things he wants to say in the presser and although he will be emotional it wont be anything like Goodwins the other day.

Do you think he will be completely honest about his reasons for exiting?

London to a brick "I've lost the motivation" gets rolled out.

booney - my point is that its 'fairer' to judge him on something he has said, compared to something he hasn't. You will be able to read bwtween the lines in the press conference, there will be alot of emotion, it would be pretty damn hard not to be honest and say what really is happening.. I reckon i can see where both parties are coming from in this debate. however, we will have a better idea after we hear from him!

Retiring mid way thru a season just doesn't sit comfortably with me....

Yes he's been a great player, yes his form hasn't been that great this year but pulling the pin after not being selected reeks a bit of self indulgence to me. I always thought the club was bigger than the man ??

I dunno. I feel there's more to this and more to T.Edwards than we know/see...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
