Im trying to say everyone is equal and should be treated the same. Others are trying to say we should treat Aboriginal people differently because they're Aboriginal. Which is racist, isnt it?
Attempting to empower indigenous people does not equal the the disempowerment of everyone else.
Over compensating by everything being "racist" has a detremental effect on the harmony between races though.
Surely you can see that a lot of people are being way too pedantic. Ive used the word racism and racist a lot, just to highlight how you can just throw it at any statement that involves race, and it'll look like the statement was in fact racist. Then its on the person, who didnt have any racist beliefs, to be labeled racist.
OnSongs three catergories show that as well. Also, the example of the scholarship made by someone before. "Give Aboriginal people a scholarship to a good school = revisiting the Stolen Generation. Dont give Aboriginal people a scholarship to a good school = obvious racism"
Its just getting ridiculous.
