This quote is great and i hope he can produce this!
"You will see a side that plays contested ball. A side that defends first - and has great disposal efficiency. You will see a side that is organised - that is planned. You will see a side that is ruthless."

Place your bets now on how long before someone starts a 'sack Sando' thread.![]()
In all seriousness I thought he handled himself very well yesterday. He looks like a man who's driven, confident, and comfortable with the huge job ahead of him.
Really looking forward to seeing what he can do with this squad.
On another tact - I wonder whether he has been on the phone to Gunston yet. Not to late to change the young man's mind.

Sanderson and the club’s coaching staff, which includes new faces Dean Bailey and Darren Milburn, have revised the pre-season training program to include more strength work and competitive drills.

Kerridge and Joyce obviously hunt the footy, Grigg a skillful left foot midfielder and Ellis-Yeoman I think is a project player, who they reckon has Goodes like potential (can play similar atleast - fingers crossed).
Suprising they didnt go a tall defender.
Cant wait to see these kids hopefully develop and remember we have Luke Brown and then Crouch waiting in the wings to burst on the schene the next year.

Thats a bloody ridicolous comment. On-Field success means everything.

realisticly we wont be pushing for a top 8 spot. i honestly cant see where the improvement is going to come from next year for us to challenge teams like essendon, north, melbourne and richmond. who are all probably one year ahead of us in a list development sense. we would need players like mckay, dangerfield, talia, wright, walker to all improve notably on their 2011 seasons. while im sure they will improve im not sure it will be enough to move into top 8 contention
