Remarkable achievement and if you take into account the crazy distances travelled and the smaller population here compared to most countries it's probably miles in front of anything close. Aussie Rules is a game better live though, where a lot of games are probably better to watch on tv.

Per day would make sense otherwise youd be counting some people 5 times in the one crowd.
A lot of final days are lucky to get a couple of hundred to it.
I've seen some test matches overseas with 3 dogs and a goat in the outer. Still more than a Port home game mind you!
