So MAL has been 100% accurate on every single rumor he has ever started up has he Dutchy ???

One would think that based on record alone, Roy Laird would be the safest coach in the league and no amount of innuendo, uneducated talkback caller or some bloody "coup" would have enough credence to off load a 4 time premiership coach. Unless he left to take up an AFL assistant role, I think Roy Laird would have the full Backing and support from Kris Grant and the Board of Directors 110% of the way to be the League coach of our great club for as long as he wants the position.

Even if MAL has a history of being close to mark on previous calls, this one will prove to be the furthest from the truth...

Thanks Dutchy for belief in me
BUT
This possible propaganda is speculative and based almost on that solitary phone call.
I have talked to 2 of my CD connections
One said it was innuendo
The other has heard a mumur but could not put any credence into this speculation
The only threat of Laird leaving is if he perhaps pursues his job [in real estate ?] more

The BAYMAN theory of the Hadden fan club could be on the ball
BIG PHIL I would agree with you as well on face value

As for my opening post
I had thought about the authenticity of my post
Hence the last sentence of the post

Roy a low profile footballer in his time is a great coach + would not deserve a coup

Please point me to where I said that BP?

I didn't actually say that you did say that mate. In a round about way, I was kind of asking the question through making a statement of sorts...

I realise that you didn't say that mate and I don't want to get into a "he said this and he said that" slinging match, I'm just saying that whether or not MAL has an accurate reputation, you have to admit that this "rumor" is so funny more than anything. It's hard to believe that with all the crap that went on down at Prospect recently, the same kind of rumours being bandied about with Jars are now similarly being said about Roy Larid...

Hey MAL,

Now worries mate, I think this peanut who rung up is getting way more mentioning than he deserves, he has no bloody idea and look what he has started...

Anyway, I think the Hadden / Gowans issue should have never been one to begin with. In my opinion, it should have been more abut Goodrem v Hadden. Trent has struggled in recent weeks (although he played ok on the weekend) and I actually spoke to him in person last weekend and he was pretty adamant he was going to be dropped. Louis Hadden will get another opportunity, make no doubt about it. It will just depend at who's expense, but 1 thing's for sure, it will not be eother of the Gowans twins. Chris will be better for the run and will come good in the next few weeks.

Cheers Mate,

Big Phil...

I think the greatest risk of Roy leaving is for an AFL club to make him an offer.

After all another previous doggies coach is doing pretty good in that arena!

What a funny coup this would be. I can see the Board and Kris Grant laughing inside the club while some goose is outside with "Sack Roy" placards. LMAO.
