Reckon we'll be lucky to get 2000 at Richmond (Broadspectrum) for the West v Central game...
I think the weather certainly will have an effect on crowd figures, plus some Doggies fans would possibly be assuming we will have a comfy win and may chose to stay at home, keeping warm and dry rather then go out in the wet... ???
That, and the fact that Dogs' attendances have been lower this season than in recent times...
Why is that?
Cause less people have been going
Very good, well done...

I think like most clubs, fatal, you do get the handful of bandwagoners that basically rock up for the big games and of course finals. I guess the other thing depends on the scheduling of our game times, with some people not attending as they play footy themselves, again as with all clubs.
I also think to a degree, some fence sitting fans (I know I sound like a broken down record, but again all clubs have these as well) have maybe thought we might not be as competitive this year, and as proven so far, other teams are starting to catch up, hence the somewhat evenness of this seasos comp thus far. That said though, true fans stick by their club through thinck and thin and of course, by no means am i saying that our team, or any for that matter, have a huge majority of supporters in this ilk.
Far from it, it is no doubt only a small minority of so called fans are like this but I know I'm going to attend ALL games this year after deciding to have a year off from playing myslef. Last year I only attended the Saturday night and odd Sunday game and I have some mates who aren't playoing this year as well but would rather go and watch their mates play in the local comps, not go to an SANFL game. Fatla, I hope that will somewhat answer your question, in part, I'm sure there are plenty of other factors that are influencing the amount of fans who have been attending Doggies game, and I guess once again, other teams as well.
GO U DOGGIES...
