Re: Port Adelaide 2015

Nah. Now that it's back to boring old Hawthorn premierships nobody gives a rats about the AFL.

Re: 2015 Hogg Shield Information and Q&A Thread

It looks like we are going to have a heap of new coaches joining the Hogg this year with up to half a dozen new coaches having indicated an interest in joining the comp next year. At the moment I'm having all sorts of Internet problems at Maison'd'REB but I'll be hopefully sorting this stuff out soon so I can be ready to go by January 30 which is when they are going to open SC this year, or so I have been told.

Re: Predictions - and discussion - in lead up to 2015 season

REB's 2015 Season prediction

http://cdn1.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1035506/PAIN_medium.jpg

ADELAIDE: Will huff and puff but blow nobody’s house down. Those pointing out areas in which the Cows can improve will have conveniently forgotten that other clubs will be trying to improve as well. By appointing a captain as dumb as a post Tex could inadvertently get on a plane when a home game is on which leaves the forward line manned by a bunch of has beens and hacks and a small forward who regularly appears on milk cartons. 9th

BRISBANE: The medical room will be braced for multiple attacks of dizziness in the squad as the powerful midfield runs around in circles after kicking it to….um….no one and having opposition defences rebound the ball straight back out again. The Patfulls of losing a key defender will become apparent but it has to be said that this season will be one of improvement for the Lions. But if they can remember to put the left boot on the left foot that would also represent a giant leap forward for the Brions. 10th

CARLTON: The Blues have been booked as one of the headliner acts of the Melbourne Comedy Festival this season as this squad is an absolute joke. When you are recruiting blokes like Liam Jones you know it’s going to be a long season ahead. My prediction for the Blues this year is that the Lygon Street Crew will put a hit out on Mick Malthouse after he pisses off the wrong person at a press conference. 16th

COLLINGWOOD: The Pies have gotten rid of all the bad boys now and have acquired real leadership after they parted ways with Nick Haxwell. With no Harry-O pissing everyone off and with only 16 injuries to start the season the Pies are in good shape. Yeah, losing Beams was a worry but I reckon FIGJAM’s youngsters might sneak into the top eight. 8th

ESSENDON: With the injection of exciting young talent Paul Chapman, James Gwilt and Paul Chapman joining the club, missing the finals would be a bitter pill to swallow. However, with the talented Paddy Ryder leaving for Tealer pastures, the Bombers might have to take their medicine this season. You couldn’t imagine ASADA tale at this once proud club. 11th

FREMANTLE: Nobody wants to join Freo but the good news is that no one wants to leave either. This means that Ross has convinced everyone that this is the year his no premiership brand of soccer will be the breakthrough. With a strong midfield with big bodies Freo will go deep into September but once again their ship won’t come in. The good news for Freo is that their list is so old that they won’t have to worry about Ben Cousins like Icescapes. 4th

GEELONG: This once champion team is clinging to former glory but it looks all over and it is time Geelong faced their Demons. Geelong is sure to improve this season as they won’t go out in straight sets this year, they’ll go out in week one and make history by losing to Gold Coast in the Elimination Final. Except Joel Selwood to win the Brownlow and have no trouble ducking his head to accept the medal. 6th

GOLD COAST: Last year when Ablett’s shoulder joint fell off, the Coast stunk up the joint. Rodney will be sure to give them a Rocket or two this year to get this talented list to finally start sharing the load but I think he can do this and the Suns will really take off. With or without Ablett, this is the year for the Suns. 7th

GWS: The Giants are going to be huge in a few years and already their best 22 looks formidable. I don’t think they can make the finals this year as their second ruck is a Giant sized problem and the forward line is a worry with Patton down and Boyd in the Doghouse. Expect that Borat theme song to have the Cossacks hopping a bit more this season, especially at home. 14th

HAWTHORN: When you have brown in your jumper and you are going for three flags in a row you can go through the motions and still be flushed with success. As one of only three genuine premiership chances it’s hard to rule a line through the Hawks even though we all really want to as you just can’t love these blokes. Hawthorn will win most weeks and win every match when last year’s best and fairest Matt Stevic takes the field. Luke Hodge will win the most courageous player this season as his trademark ‘courageous grimace’ serves him well again after a slight brush against a first year stick insect. Plenty of joy for the haters though when they lose the Granny. 2nd

MELBOURNE: If the Demons can put a decent forward line together in the early rounds they can start to make some improvement. They will Roos the day if they waste yet another season in 17th or 18th position and Harry O could prove to be a more than adequate replacement for Frawley who has gone off to Hawthorn to learn how to kick. The Dees will still struggle to win games but they might actually shock everyone and kick a few goals, giving the tweed coat brigade a reason to stay off the slopes for least a few weeks. 15th

NORTH MELBOURNE: A couple of years ago I thought North could be a new Geelong but it seems I’m not Robinson Crusoe when it comes to overrating the Roos. Sure, they are good, but they aren’t good enough but the recruitment of the ever reliable Jarad Waite and Shaun Higgins could be enough for them to stay at exactly the same level as they were last year. No Soup for Roo! 5th

PORT: Now that they have a Norwood man running the joint and a Catter in the coaches box, the Power looks to be finally on at Alberton after years of ‘the lights are on but there is nobody home’. Westhoff finally looks comfortable in his beard and Ollie Wines has muscles on his muscles despite being only 14 years old. They’ve pinched Paddy Ryder so at least one Paddy will be playing in SA next year and it’s all systems go. 1st

RICHMOND: The Tigers were so satisfied with last year’s massacre at the Oval they decided to recruit…..no one. Ha ha nice move geniearses! If you put every joke about Richmond over the past three decades it would fill the New York phone book…you could call it the yellow and black pages. Like last year they’ll lose when the heat is on, look a million bucks when it’s all over but this year they won’t get back in the eight. 12th

ST KILDA: The Saints have let everyone over the age of 21 leave the club except St Nick but he likes Dubstep so he was allowed to stay. The Saints are starting to amass an array of young talent but this means the odd belting will be on the way. An honest assessment of their list will hurt for a while but in the long run the Saints are on the right track but they might have made a Cox up in some administration appointments. 18th

SYDNEY: Despite a Grand Final effort that would have made Geelong 1995 blush (but not 1994); the Swans remain one of the teams to beat for the premiership. Not many clubs will go up to Sydney and like it but that is to be expected because Sydney people are really rude. They’ll be keen to exact revenge on the Hawks but Port could sneak under their guard. Still Buddy good are the Swans though. 3rd

WEST COAST: Yes, it’s time for the annual hype about the Eagles even though they are going about as well as their stadium which is falling down around the Sandgropers’ ears. While the West Coast does have some talented players several Eagles are winged and the midfield is so poor that Matty Priddis won a Brownlow last year as he was the only one getting the ball. 13th

WESTERN BULLDOGS: The Bulldogs are the first team in history to do a rebuild of a rebuild after last year’s spectacular implosion which saw the coach and several key players depart the Kennel. If they thought last season was ruff then they might be in for disappointment as this is going to be a paw year. Make no bones about it; their bark is worse than their bite. 17th

Re: 2015 AFL Fantasy/ SC/ Real DT talk

Not much SC talk at the moment.

Defence

Having a look at the fantasy picker from SC Paige I can say that the defence will be a real nightmare this season. Malceski appears overpriced and is the only player who averaged the ton last year so if your defenders are averaging 80-90 points a game then you are on your way to a flyer this year. The challenge will be to get on rookies who might get early matches as opposed to under priced players with poor injury records such as Whitecross, Waters or Ibbotson. Others will opt for up and coming McStay or the more expensive Doherty. Scott Thompson looks underpriced but many coaches would have been badly burnt by him last season. Hurn, Birchall, Shaw and Simpson look likely and if you don't know who the only possible lock defender is this season then I'll look forward to beating you this season. Either that or I've got it wrong and you'll be walloping me.

Mids

Even more mids this year with eight on the field and three on the bench now. While some coaches will bemoan the lack of the VC Loophole in Ruck 4 (which no longer exists) most coaches will appreciate the chance to get an extra cash cow into their starting team. By now you should realise that paying over 200k for a rookie is ridiculous so it's Heeney and Freeman for all and ex-Crow skipper NVB suddenly becomes SC relevant. Other players in a similar 220 range worth a look are Carlton's Patrick Cripps and St Kilda's Blake Acres but as usual watch NAB form. In Premo news Ablett is training strongly and even has a bad ass motherfugger beard so if you are fair dinkum get on. Rocky was a big scorer last year but even though the Brions points will increase there will be a lot more mids to share the ball. Pendles looks good as usual but Sidebottom could be the smarter option, especially if you are looking at a sneaky POD. Watson looks underpriced as well and I'm not touching him so that means you can.

Rucks

The change in SC scoring which recognises Hit Outs to advantage and penalises sharked taps means that Sam Jacobs appears to be a lock but his price is a prohibitive 620k and there remains plenty of doubt about how the new rules will affect the scoring. It's not so much his advantage that is the issue but how much money will he cost you. I would advocate a wait and see on ultra premo rucks and use the 150k elsewhere and opt for Goldy, Minson, Maric or Nick Nat instead. The loss of Ruck 4 means that Ruck 3 is a real worry. Andrew Phillips, Rory Lobb and Swan pair Naismith and Nankervis could be worth a look. Others will opt for Mason Cox as the VC loophole but that means you are forced into Hale, Ryder, Bellchambers or Sinclair in the forward line.

Forwards

There are so many riches in the forward line you'll be rubbing your hands together with glee. Deledio, Martin, Goddard, Gray, Swan, Bennell and many others will tempt fantasy coaches this year. Having said that, there are still a few bargains available in the forward line that will allow you to fix your Rucks or bolster that worrisome backline. Many coaches could end up with as many as five keepers in round one if we all get a break with the likes of Whitecross, Waters and Ibbotson down back.

I'm not chasing anyone this year, if you know one or more of those coaches and can give me an email addy or safooty.net username let me know so I can get them into the Hogg. Re: Glenn BIG show Maxwell

Gotta laugh at the calls for consistency in ODIs from blokes batting 5-7. Maxwell isnt an opener and like Davey you have to take the good with the bad. I'd have Maxwell in ahead of Bailey every day of the week right now. I read on the weekend that Maxwell doesn't like the nickname 'Big Show' and he doesn't have I disease to the extent of my least favourite cricketer Brad Hodge.

Bout time a few got off his back and gave him a go. He's got a lot of talent and he'll only get better. I think once Maxwell presents a bit more of the bat to the bowler he will prosper. At times he tends to open the face far too early in his innings. I'm sure Boof has mentioned it to him.

Alex Georgiou
Sam Baulderstone

I believe I read that they can only take 2 player's from each league but that may not be the case.

I understand it is a good opportunity for these guys but also hoping they dont get injured player Flog challenge football for another team.

Re: World Cup Commentators

Brilliant to hear Nasser Hussain, Jonathan Agnew (on radio) and Harsha Bhogle during the World Cup.

They've been a breath of fresh air on TV and I hope Channel Nine starts bringing in overseas commentators again like they did with Bumble and Vaughan during the Ashes last summer and Bumble during this summer.

Would love to see the Indian Richie (Bhogle) become a presence on Australian tv over the summer in the future, I feel he's wasted on ABC radio.

It's never brilliant to hear Nasser Hussain. Flog of the highest order. Quite like Agnew and Bhogle though.

Media Park put in a massive opener as Jimmy cracked corn in round 1 with a more than respectable 2179. It was bad luck too for the Thiele Crows who have started off much better this season in terms of scoring and if Thiele can score 1900 a week in this league he'll be playing finals this year. Other teams to post respectable scores were Mrs REB and Mrs Failed Creation as the ladies both scored over 2000 to get the win. Damaged Ink and the St Bray Saints were two other sides who have struggled in the past but managed to rack up 2000 and an opening round win.

Unlucky teams this week besides Thiele were Multiple Scorgasms with a 1984 which would get the job done most weeks in Divvy V. Young Mine Crafters also score over 1950 but didn't get the choccies. Meanwhile, the wonder elephant somehow managed to jag a win despite scoring only 1539 as IswiTch has yet to get going so far this season. Another team to somehow get four points was Team MK who won their first ever Hogg match at the expense of Victorious Secret who somehow dropped 500 points on last week's score.

Steve Johnson. No longer a major influence but still called Mr Magic and such. Wouldn't mind seeing some.
Luke Bruest. Absolute seagull who kicks two metre goals and everyone praises his accuracy.
Chad Wingard. Once a top midfield prospect but now hangs out the back for easy kicks and gets a wrap for jumping on backs cos he doesn't jump in packs.
Travis Cloke. Big lug forward who should be smashing apart packs but instead misses goals Levi Casboult would kick.
Sam Reid. Has been talked up for years but is so bad Sydney lost their COLA in order to recruit real forwards.

Re: Hogg Premier League 2015

Hogg Premier Preview Round 2

Back in the old days there was this Cat dude who had ‘The Ablett Factor’ as his banner and he’d bob up at a heap of Geelong games. In Hogg Premier the Ablett factor is one to consider when trying to work out this week’s winners.

There are other factors at work here as well. Collingwood’s Scott Pendlebury could get the night off against the Saints as the Pies want him rested for ANZAC Day and popular rookie selection Kane Lambert has also done a shoulder so he’ll be out for a few weeks. Add that to O’Meara, Sidebottom, Rockliff and Selwood (but who would pick him hey Troy?) and you’ve got Round 20 carnage in Round 2. Let the fun and games commence!

Captain Who? v Cotch Lickers MATCH OF THE ROUND
The winner of this match will be two-zip and this is the match of the round this week. On paper the Captain looked very strong to start with but he has yet to pull the trigger on Rockliff and he has Ablett as well. This means Groover has 1.4 million dollars’ worth of Donut. Even Homer Simpson couldn’t eat a donut of that size. CoverKing has started off the season very well and just because he loses when I select him I am doing just that. Cotch Lickers to win the match of the round.

REBCats v Longwood Lions
Both sides got done in round one so they’ll be keen to get a win on the board. There has been a bit of carnage so far this season and it hasn’t bypassed the Cats with Gary Ablett providing the fur ball during last week. Alaska is down in the point-scoring already so I’m selecting my REBCats to open their account, especially as the Lions also have the little master in their squad.

Ben Rolfsburgers v wycbloods
Both last start winners with the Rolfs being more impressive in the scoring department. The bloods managed to scrape a win despite switching the captaincy from Nat Fyfe last week which is a mistake that he won’t be making this time around. Neither side has Ablett but the Rolfs do have Pendlebury. I reckon Pendlebury owners won’t make the trade so that means I’m leaning towards a wycbloods victory .

Cork in the Ocean v Eckys Fevolas
Ecky got the job done last week and Corky was pretty unlucky to lose after scoring one of the best scores in the Premier League last week. Corky is currently number two in the Hogg and if you keep scoring well then the wins will come. Both have Pendles and I can see Corky pulling the trigger on Gaz. Cork in the Ocean will get the win this week and draw level with the Fevs on points after two rounds.

Hondo SCC v Q Before You
Two highly credentialed Premier League coaches meet here after an uncharacteristic stumble to start the season. Both players have Pendlebury and Ablett so these factors will cancel each other out a bit. He won’t thank me for it but I’m tipping Hondo SCC to get the points this week.

Peptide Army v Les’s Men
Hammo would be lucky to win in Division V this week so a match up with the formidable Lezzes is the last thing he needs after an inglorious start. Les might have missed the boat in the pre-season but he hasn’t missed a beat now we are playing for keeps. Les has Pendles but Hammo has Gaz, Pendles and Scooter Selwood in a formidable midfield bakery. Les’s Men will romp this one in .

Underdogs v SHARKS
These two sides have met many times in the Piglet Shield but this is their first meeting in the Premier League. The Dogs will lose a ‘development’ trade replacing Ablett but a quick look at the SHARKS shows that it’s a POD paradise. Isaac Smith, Andrew Swallow, Lachie Neale this team is capable of nothing and anything. With Gibbo a little off the pace right now it points to a SHARKS victory .

Squeakeroos DTC v Has Been
Squeaky didn’t frighten the scorers much last week but still did enough to get the win. This week they have the inside running as well as the Beeners have Pendles and Ablett while Squeaky only has to worry about Pendles. It will be an interesting night at selection for these two sides but I reckon that Squeakeroos DTC can live up to their name and record a narrow victory .

Buddy Franklin v Honey Badgers
Danger time already for both of these sides after they dropped their round one matches. The Badgers were struck by the ugly stick last week but look likey to be untouched by carnage (vest aside) in terms of long term outs and Buddy is one of the many coaches who have to resolve the Ablett factor. At this stage I’m selecting the more settled sides so I’m leaning towards a Honey Badgers win .

Jimmy crack corn but he don't care. Not when Media Park is scoring well enough to make the top ten of the Hogg he don't. Jimmy crack corn is going a whole lot better than Jimmy Bartel at the moment and Parky has sent off a warning to his fellow Divvy V coaches with a blistering start. Another improved coach is my mate Brendan whose Damage Ink has gone from a potential finalist to a genuine challenger in the first few rounds of the season.

There were a couple of 'derbies' this week with people who have been brought into the Hogg defeating the people who invited them in. Honestly, where is the gratitude? The trend began with Multiple Scorgasms proving to be too good for his mate gfc_firm who lifted for the occasion but finished second on the day. Meanwhile, in the Failed Creation household, Mrs Creation won the day by a mere 17 points. What are the odds these two teams are almost the same? ;)

White Line Fever started off about as well the Cats this season but he is steadily getting a squad together that can challenge for the flag while Mrs REB and my brother in law BrettsRazorbacks have also begun the season undefeated. At the foot of the ladder is once again Strawb who has consistently held this position for many years. Strawb is due to make his first change for the season in about ten weeks so Mr T would pity the fool who he plays that week.

Re: Crows 2015

If Dangerfield is off the leash and so is Vince who does the most damage? Melbourne's fiesty approach (think McDonald on Tex as well) kept them in the game. I read your other post graham about taggers and I think you are right about them - to a degree. It's fine for a team like Hawthorn that are armed with outside run and an excellent disposal rating by foot to dispense with the tagger but for a team like Melbourne that is trying to stay in a game away from home against a more skillful opponent I believe a tagger can still be of value.

Where I do agree with your tagger free philosphy is that you aren't going to have Cameron Ling types in the top sides so much as we have been used to. I believe the top sides will back thier players and systems to outmatch their opponents and perhaps use additional negating tactics for limited periods of the match rather than assign a player to do it full time.

As for your comments about flying the flag again I only partially agree with what you have said. One thing I agree with is some of the comments used by boneheads such as Dermott Brereton with his ardent love of thuggery are well passed their used by date. However I believe that if you don't fly the flag it sends a pretty piss weak message. Australian rules, even today is a game of force and intimidation (as well as a contest of skill of course) and you cannot allow your opposition any leverage what so ever. I always think it's a really bad sign when players don't fly the flag for their team mates and you'll see it from teams that are down the bottom of the ladder. Melee fines? Really? Better that than turning into a team of Jack Wattses.

Yep the gap between decent football and shite football is far to huge

There are so many 'irrelevant' football games in the AFL fixture it's a joke

Brisbane vs West Coast is a classic case of two teams who realistically are just playing a year out.

Too many teams, Hammers. The Gold Coast is just the Gaz superannuation fund. He is seriously taking the piss with his latest contract.

The Crack of Trust has snuck one game clear after three rounds after all of the other top sides fell over. There were a few surprising results in the third round but the ambush of Jims TigerRoos by Choppa's Standards surely ranks as the Hogg upset of the year to date. Choppa had set a very low standard all year and wasn't scoring enough points to worry Jims TigerRoos but in the end they worried them out of it as the TigerRoos stumbled to their first loss.

Divvy IV power teams ZedForce and DaisysDuds finally turned up with wins over the previously unbeaten Professor Crow and Greedy Guns and showed they are not yet a spent force in this division. Perennial Divvy II stragglers Brown Boys made it back to back wins to consolidate a top eight place and FOOTYLEDGENS got back in the top eight after getting the jump on a disappointing Moneybrawl.

So while the low scoring Greedy Guns are in the top 8 the number one team in the Hogg, Spud Factory FC have dropped to 14th spot on the ladder. Jays Jocks are scoring well too and they are in the relegation zone. One team who is having a horror year is Duromine Dependent who took all before them last season.

You could throw a blanket over all of the teams in Division II so far this year so early wins this season will prove vital.

Hodges incident worse than Lewis?
I officially have no idea about anything.

You,me and 99% of the football world mate.

i dunno - using elbows means it is immediately an intentional conduct thing. thats different to being extremely late and careless in a spoil

Hodge, IMO, probably meant to get Swallow in the chest area, he just threw it too high. If Hodge had got him in the chest, like we see dozens of times a game, maybe a free kick at most.

Lewis, IMO, was late, with a swinging arm, high, to a player eyes on the ball, much worse.

Hodge and Lewis, IMO are typical Hawthorn dogs who should have got life.

Re: Hogg Premier League 2015

Round 5 Previews

Has Been vs. SHARKS - MATCH OF THE ROUND

The newcomers to Premier League this season have started off the season in fine style and none are doing it better than Spiro's SHARKS. Spiro got on board the Lachie Neale train very early and you would think that Neale should have a field day as Sandi should smash Belch in the ruck giving that mighty Docker midfield first use. Of last years guns teams, Has Been has stood out. Like Sprio the Beeners have also been on a winning run and this is a genuine top of the table blockbuster in the Premier League this week. Overall, the Sharkies look to be the stronger side and I reckon the SHARKS will get the win.

REBCats vs. Hondo SCC

Hondo bounced back to form last week with a solid win over the Rolfsbergurs and should be able to continue his winning ways over the struggling REBCats. Both teams are missing key players this week although Hondo appears to have a few more out in Henderson and Bennell. These factors don't quite cancel out Hondo's midfield advantage though and I predict a narrow win for Hondo SCC with REBCats to score 2056 or something close yet again.

Peptide Army vs. Cork in the Ocean

The Army was unable to defeat the Longwood Lions last week so the task of defeating the reigning premier appears to be beyond them. The Peptide likes to pull left field POD selections to aid his cause but this year's model Stephen Coniligio appears to be a bust. While this call may be a little premature what is not is that Troy has missed both reliable defenders in Heath Shaw and Tom McDonald. Corky has not missed out on Heater and he also has a Freo midfielder in Fyfe and I think that Cork in the Ocean will get the points in this match.

Underdogs vs. Ben Rolfsburgers

Last week the Underdogs pulled out a good score and the Rolfs had an off day but the Doggies only just surpassed their score. Teams that had Harley Bennell in them had the advantage last week as he ran riot against Brisbane but it's a disadvantage for Harley owners this week. That and the overall scoring patterns for the season means it's hard to see anything other than a Ben Rolfsburgers victory .

Squeakeroos_DTC vs. Longwood Lions

This is a vitally important match between two teams that I don't tip very often. The Lions scrambled home with a much needed win against the Peptide Army and this match could be just as important for Alaska's chances of staying up. Squeaky will need to bring McIntosh and possibly Van Berlo to cover this week's outs. These two sides both have Belch as a forward which is an area of weakness but a bigger issue for the Lions is that they have three out in the midfield. With that extra out in the prime scoring zone I'm selecting Squeakeroos_DTC in this match.

Captain Who? vs. wycbloods

Yes, bloods has to cover Jordan Lewis and he will probably play vest candidate Jed Anderson but looking at Captain Who's team I don't think he is going to double up with what he got last week. I can't see Houli getting 160, Oxley 150 and Crisp 148 this week. The chances of those duds not proving those freak scores are anything but a complete fluke are pretty slim I reckon. I'm just Jelly cos I picked Bernie Smith and Ryan Griffen who scored squat but I reckon all things such as this even up a bit in the end. So I'm going for the upset - wycbloods to win and restore my faith in humanity.

Buddy Franklin vs. Ecky's Fevolas

Buddy Franklin comes into this match looking to be in pretty good shape although he must be suffering heap big buyers remorse on the purchase of clanger king Taylor Hunt. Eckys meanwhile, continue to be a side that appears to be building for the future judging by the amount of youth in his squad. Somehow, Ecky has kept his cool while Belch, Ryan ******* Griffen, Ibbo, Newnes and Beardo Simpson have been underwhelming. Will Ecky pull the trigger on CEY and pull an upgrade or will he stick to his patient cash cow milking strategy. It seems to me that Ecky is patient but Buddy aint Flat. Buddy Franklin to win .

Honey Badgers vs. Q Before You

With his three ruck strategy and having to cover Harley Bennell, I reckon the Badgers could be in a bit of strife against the consistent Q Before You. Fresh off a win over his old rival the Captain, Q is looking pretty good here to make it two wins on the trot. Another bonanza from Scott Pendlebury would help matters and this is a chance against the Cats tonight so look out for the VC on Pendles. I think Q will be too strong in this game and I'm tipping Q Before You to win this one by about 80.

Cotch Lickers vs. Les’s Men
A few years ago CoverKing invited a couple of mates to join the Hogg. Those mates were Les’s Men and Divvy II outfit Hips Don’t Lie. Come Sunday night he might be regretting this decision as the Lezzes look primed to clean up the Cotch Lickers who have been struggling a bit so far this season. I'm tipping that Les's Men will win this game and be laughing at the top of the ladder while rivals SHARKS and Has Been slug it out.

Two teams outside of the top eight declared themselves well in truly in the hunt for the Division V title after blasting out top scores in a round when everyone else collapsed quicker than an English batting order. Multiple Scorgasms ended Damaged Ink's unbeaten run with a score of 2200 and Victorious Secret went one better as they thumped White Line Fever to revive their finals hopes.

Former league leaders Jimmy crack corn's bubble popped in a big way as they were defeated by The Mine Crafters. Mr and Mrs Failed Creation went on with wins that see Failed Creation take over top spot on the ladder with Mrs Creation going nicely as well as True North now share a 5-1 record so far.

This round saw a couple of stragglers match up against each other and TheCrew scored more than usual but couldn't get the job done as Thiele Crows went on to win their second match of the season. In the battle of the b....eauties Footychick beat Lily which means that the Evil Penguins have opened their account for the season.
