SANFL on iView

Postby Hopeful Jelly » Mon May 10, 2010 9:33 pm

Hey all, I apologise if this has already been posted elsewhere: SANFL will soon be available on ABC iView:

From abcsanfl on Twitter late last week:

"You've waited long enough. SANFL matches will be on Iview from next week. View SANFL matches anywhere in Oz. Get excited. Get very excited!"

"abc.net.au/iview First Up on Iview..... Eagles v North Adelaide from next Wednesday."

...I'm not sure if it means this Wed 12/5 or next, but will be good for those interstate or forget to record. Also not sure if other state leagues will also be made available on iView.

It would indeed Dutchy but sadly not to be.

This is from their FAQ's

Can I access ABC iView overseas?

ABC iView is geo-blocked, which means that you can't access the programs from overseas. This is due to programming rights management, which prevent us from making this content available in markets other than Australia.

Thank god (other deities are available) for RPH and LifeFM :D

Regards
JAS

*edit* P.S. here's the link to their FAQ's for those wanting to know about things like browser compatibility, system reqs etc...

So does that mean the first match is up on the Wednesday or are all games going to be online the Wednesday after the game has been played? May as well wait for the DVD if that is actually the case.

I am not happy, Saturday's game is not on iView yet!! I am a massive Glenelg fan who moved interstate 2 years ago, so having the SANFL on iView was awesome news for me, but if it's going to take this long for them to put it on iView, it is pretty stupid. That's just my view anyway.

To those of us not versed in the esoterics of 21st century technology ... what does this all mean, and how would I be able to view it?

Problem is, when the next game is uploaded, the previous match is deleted.

Tried to watch the West v Centrals game on iView (as I taped the Crows game on Saturday - in hindsight the wrong game to tape). Watched about 15 minutes of the second quarter before I stopped because the quality is so poor I was getting nauseous.

To be honest I prefer the AdelaideNow highlights
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10
