In other news drexelpower almost won their first game and Kiwi Krapper's continued their domination with a massive 2415 against the FOOTYLEDGENS. Leisa's Lovelies enjoyed a step down in class and recorded a healty percentage booster and now finds herself in the eight after leapfrogging Underbelly. FNQ Trotters slid down to 10th spot after a successive poor performance.

Those magnificent Krapper's in their Krapping machines feature in the match of the Piglet against goodwood sharks who have been sneaking up the ladder in recent weeks. Kiwi has taken a break from shagging sheep and is now coming from behind to be second on the ladder, I reckon he's pulled the wool over our eyes for far too long and it's clear now that Kiwi is a force to be reckoned with.

This week in the Piglet features a lot of lopsided fixtures but the mother-daughter derby between FNQ Trotters and Underbelly is a big match with both teams just outside the eight at 2-2. The Trotters have fallen away badly in the last two weeks but should be able to put a stop to Underbelly's recent progress.

That loud sound you may have heard around the Mile End area on Sunday night may have been the Kiwi Krapper's coming down to earth with a rather large THUD. Another top side, Jacks Stars almost copped the boilover of the Hogg season when she almost got done by the pretty clueless drexelpower who has about five donuts on the field. Even though this is the weakest Hogg finals places are at a premium with the Krapper's loss sending them to 7th with just one loss in the first five matches. Underbelly at 3-2 can't get a look in after Leisa's Lovelies thrashed Booney to pretty much end his year.

With seven sides at 4 wins 1 loss you'd expect there to be a few more big match ups in the Piglet this week but once again it looks like the good teams will be beating up on the bad. The match of the round is between two of 'the magnificent seven' in The Underdogs and goodwood sharks. The sharks pulled off a meritorious victory over the previously high flying Krappers and this week he has an even tougher match against the Dogs who are the highest scoring team in the Piglet. Underbelly gets a chance to see if she belongs in the top eight as she takes on top ranked Jacks Stars. The Stars got out of jail a bit last week and will want to return to her normal point scoring form to avoid a mob hit here.

It's a mother and son battle this week in the piglet as the Cub takes on Leisa's Lovelies in what should be a good enounter with the Lovelies starting to return to last year's form in recent weeks. Down the arse end of the ladder Damage Inc gets his best chance to open his account as he takes on Boontime who will also be looking to get back into the winners list after getting flogged by Mrs REB last week.

Gingernuts has taken over as the number one team in the Hogg after the top three sides all fell over during the sixth round of matches. The question must now be asked: Can the golden Greek be stopped? Sprio has racked up another big scalp by defeating the Underdogs and he has now slid into the top four. Underbelly finally delivered the loss that appeared to be pending for Jacks Stars and I'm not that happy with my Brother in law who finally boosts his side during the same week he plays me with two donuts!

An interesting statistical anomoly in this league is that after six matches there are four sides who have yet to record a victory. This means that Underbelly is dead stiff to be outside the eight with 4 wins from six games.

goodwood sharks run has come to an end after the Greek was cleaned up by Leisa's Lovelies who jumped into the top four as a result. The Underdogs rebounded strongly to smash FOOTYLEDGENS and the mighty REBCats got revenge against Mrs Gingernuts after losing to Jacks Stars in last year's match.

Underbelly lost a big chance to slip into the top eight when they were defeated by a resurgent cobras outfit and Gingernuts retained top spot on the ladder with a good win against the Trotters. It has taken seven weeks but finally Damage Inc and drexelpower have opened their Hogg accounts for season 2010.

Losing Hogg Shield matches against the Mrs is not a good look (just ask Gingernuts!) and that is the prospect I am facing this week as Leisa's Lovelies is the in form combination in the Piglet Shield. The Lovelies have rolled off five straight and I'll be flat out trying to hang on to my top four spot in this league. REB Jnr faces off against his Uncle cobras who has racked up four wins in his last five matches. cobras are looking mighty dangerous at the moment and the Gibbs vs. Murphy match up will prove pivotal to the end result.

Booney looks set for a rare victory here and Underbelly blew her chance for a spot in the top eight last week as she won't beat The Underdogs. goodwood sharks fresh off a loss to the Lovelies should jump back into the winning list against Jacks Stars and Gingernuts will retain his lead in the league for another week as Damage Inc won't cause any.

The Underdogs are back in business racking up over 2300 yet again to clean up Underbelly who is starting to fall off the pace in terms of finals action in the Piglet. Gingernuts remains on top of the ladder with a comfortable win over Damage Inc and Kiwi Krappers is close behind after defeating the power.

Another victory run was ended this week as Mrs REB paid the price for not including Gary Ablett, even though he was below his best in terms of point scoring. Jacks Stars are setting after narrowly going down to the goodwood sharks and the Trotters and Boontime are stil in the hunt after cobras added FOOTYLEDGENS to his growing list of scalps. The problem for the bottom eight is that the cobras are now on fire.

Match of the round this week is 1st vs. 2nd Krappers vs. Gingernuts. I don't think either of these sides will be top two come the season's end so the winner here could book themselves a top four spot with the loser of this one copping an early dose of reality. I'm tipping Gingernuts here but if Kiwi gets close to his best scoring he could win this easily. Bad news for my REBCats though, I'm probably going to come off second best against the highest scoring team in the comp Gibbos Underdogs who are top ten Hoggwide.

cobras and goody sharks is a beauty as well with cobras red hot at the moment. OK Bluey, you've convinced me I'm tipping you this week to defeat the sharkys. If you can't be the best you might as well be the worst and MightyEags aside the winless teams in the lowest Hogg league play off to avoid the wooden spoon. THE BOBLETS have half a clue which is twice as much as the best team ever and they'll open their account this week.

There's a new leader in the Piglet after the Kiwi cleaned up Gingernuts in the match of the round. One good thing to come out of my best ever SuperCoach score was that I managed to defeat Gibbo's Underdogs who are a top ten ranked Hogg side. FNQ Trotters climbed back into the top eight as goodwood sharks ended cobras winning run. Another run that came to an end was Jacks Stars run of outs who made sure that Cubbys run of outs continues for another week.

For the second week in a row Kiwi Krapper's are involved in a top of the table stoush in the Piglet, this time against my REBCats who rediscovered some scoring form last week. I'm pretty confident here I can clean up Bradley and top the table. Gingernuts will be in a dogfight on his hands as he takes on the snarling Underdogs coming off a loss to REBCats last week. Gingernuts will have gone from top of the table to outside of the top four at the end of this week's matches after copping what I believe will be a heavy defeat to the Underdogs.

As usual in this league there are plenty of gimmies with Leisa's Lovelies, Jacks Stars, goodwood sharks and cobras all looking to bank the four points. Underbelly needs to and probably will defeat a rejuventated Damage Inc to stay in the race and Cubby is in dire need of a win against 8th ranked FNQ Trotters but I reckon the LEDGENS are gone.

REBCats missed the chance to lead the Piglet after the stupid coach selected Dane Swan as skipper instead of Ablett and my Kiwi in law pounced to place one hand on the minor premiership. Booney pulled off his greatest ever Hogg win by defeating Jacks Stars whose recent form has not been flattering. Ditto for cubby who was smashed by the FNQ Trotters with their highest ever Hogg score. Cub can't take a trick at the moment but tell that to Boxhead in premier league.

In the other big game Underdogs flogged Gingernuts so all was not lost in the Piglet!

Gingernuts cops another tough match against Leisa's Lovelies who have only lost one match in the last eight rounds. Ginge has copped a pretty tough draw while he is OS and I'd just like to say to him TS. Lovelies to win in the Piglet match of the round.

Big grudge match between my sister Underbelly and my Kiwi in Law Krapper's. I reckon the dopey bugger might tank it for the sake of domestic harmony (like Gingernuts has done twice in a row ha ha) seeing as he has top spot all but wrapped up the jammy bastard.

FNQ Trotters has been wreaking havoc and I expect Ma to clean up the Wog boy. FOOTYLEDGENS will finally win one down here and Underdogs and REBCats will ensure that it is reigning Cats and Dogs in the piglet. Booney will win the game against the cobras this week to keep his season alive and Jacks Stars will return to the winners list which will just about shut the door on Booney and Dale.

Kiwi Krapper's wrapped up the minor premiership when he won the battle against the Underbelly mob whose season appears over and Gingernuts' woes continued when they were beaten by Leisa's Lovelies.

FNQ Trotters continued on their winning run by recording a convincing win over the goody sharks who now find themselves out of the four, replaced by the Underdogs. Cubby's FOOTYLEDGENS broke a four game losing streak but it might be too late now as he is two games out of the top eight. He is more likely to qualify for the best Hogg League rather than the worst!

Booney joined Underbelly as teams whose year ended this week and Jacks Stars managed to win to stay one step ahead of cobras who are out of the eight courtesy of a poor percentage.

FNQ Trotters' remarkable comeback from the bottom half of the table could soon be complete if they can knock off the consistent Leisa's Lovelies in the Piglet match of the round. The Trotters have been racking up the scores of late but I reckon the Lovelies might put the Kibosh on the Trotters and end their run. In the 'flat track bully' derby goodwood sharks should salute as all of a sudden Gingernuts' team is full of holes. The holes are big enough for a shark to swim through. Sprio to win.

cobras' season faces a bitchslap in the form of top of the table Kiwi Krapper's at the same time as top eight rivals Jacks Stars, Underbelly and FOOTYLEDGENS get thrown a bone in the form of feeble opponents of which there are many in this league. The Underdogs and REBCats should also win well in a round which could see the top four decided in this grade, although the bottom half of the eight is starting to open up with Jacks Stars having a horrible run home after this week.
