In these type of races track experience does help a fair bit in a greyhounds performance. Times are always hard to guage in qualy runs as a full field is a different task and some dogs just cant handle full fields.

But the location and track used most often by the trainer is a big indication into consistency. #8 locally trained, plenty of experience at the track, good box. Doesn't have much pace on inside to cross.

Hard to seperate the leading chances in this race. #1 trainer does have plenty of dogs who ping. But with the vacant boxes, carnage isn;'t going to play a huge role in this race. Giving others a better chance than normal.

#3 should overcome #1 as they round the bend. #8 goes too wide and its too wet to run out there.

Interesting race, with the only real speed coming from #5. May lead all the way here. Only other likely leader is #3. Other than that, expect 7,8 to be flying home mid-late race. Can #5 hold on? Well they are all cats. So I hope so!

Two games in a row thankyou.

Maiden races at Shepparton this afternoon don't exactly pose much of a betting opportunity.

Although, in the next race expect punters will be on #1,8 for completely different reasons. #1 due to 26.31 run at Warragul in a trial due to a previous offence. #8 due to trainer and breeding.

I don't think the punters are educated enough in this race to come to a fair conclusion and since there are only two likely runners being bet on in the market, this will provide some value for the 4,5,6,7 runners.

I believe 6,8 should be the likely winning chances. Both have the early speed to lead this race.
