HERE 4 A GRIN wrote:I was out at Henley oval on sat,and witness possibly the worst display of sportsmanship Ive ever seen. Henley would have to be the most undisciplined team in div 6 (others that were there said the same aswell). There was a lot of behind the play incidents, on the ball incidents. They need to have a real good look at themselves starting with the captain of that team that was possibly the worst leader Ive ever seen. He was the instigator of 90% of the incidents during the game and am pretty sure he got yellow carded as well. Leading from the front? I think not. He is the one person you would think sets the standard and i was amazed to see him set such a pore standard right from the get go.

Have any other teams experienced anything like that from the Henley boys this year? full credit to the lockleys lads who kept their head, and didn't get sucked in to this. As a saafl follower i had to come on here and express my opinion,i know that henley in all other grades are not like this.

I was there too and didn't think "The Sharks" offered anything outside the norm, in way of on field behaviour.

Pretty tame really!

Come to some more games and you'll see 1st hand the colourful characters of Suburban Footy. ;)

seen henley on several occassions this year and in my opion quite the opposite is true.they are a young side who i have found to be a good honest team learning senior grade footy.
i think in this case you need to take into account who they were playing.being neighbours and alot of the boys knowing each other i would suggest alot of this might have been mates having a dip at each other.could be wrong but myself living in the area and knowing alot of the guys i would suggest thats the case.

Fair enough.if you were to ask the lockleys players about it i feel they would all have the same opinion as I have after talking to some after the game. Speaking to some people at the game, there were only a hand full of players that were mates. The players that were part of the incidents were not known by the lockleys lads like "Pitto".

But i take all of your comments into consideration, might of been one of those days for the lads at Henley i think!! ;)

oh ok i thought thats what you ment but the HDFC through me off as they played ingle farm ohh well i havnt seen him play this year but he was clearly BOG on the weekend mustve taken 20 marks and most of them contested.

ingle farm were about 6 or 7 goals up early on, they're not that bad its just they have no direction, no game plan or structure or if they do have it they dont stick to it very well but saying that i believe they will win a game this year and believe they just need to play to a game plan and/or structure and they will be a hell of alot better.

very good fullback, thought there full forward was ok and them hawks go ok so at least they have a spine to build around

yeah id agree with ya mate like i said they arnt anywhere near as bad as i thought they were but saying that paralowie had 6 of there better players not playing including boothey and they shannon gehlken in the opening minutes but who does play a game at full strength these days its just part of footy i guess

Agree that he was BOG, but not sure you can call a mark contested when CHB is trailing 3 metres behind.

It might appear that the Farmers do not have a game plan or structure, but a lot of this comes down to their lack of fitness. Played some excellent footy to get 6 goals up on Saturday, but Paralowie midfield took control after quarter time and game their fowards the supply they were looking for. Number 11 off the wing killed us in the second quarter......must have won 5 clearances from centre bounces.
