He is a very good player and very good kid. He asked the senior match committee about his chances of playing league football at Port going forward, and was told it was unlikely he would due to his kicking. He gets alot of the ball but needs to work on skills.
He asked a difficult question and was given a very honest answer, so whilst not ideal, he left on good terms.
One of the problem in the Port seniors is their skill level, so havig Josh play reserves or league wouldnt help that situation.
He will be a very good inclusion for Gepps for the rest of the season.

The entire population of the northern suburbs and beyond will be at Ram Park tomorrow for the "Return of the Mullet"
The bar, canteen & bbq sales will at least be treble the normal with this phenomenon, rated bigger than Haley's Comet and no doubt a blockbuster movie of that name will be made in the future similar to Robin Hood.
Don't miss it!;)

he got given 2 weeks i believe. even a squeaky clean record to his name could not save him. pretty unfortunate, but that's life. the silver lining though is that i wont have to go head to head with him this week, and it'll give our team a slight advantage over gaza.

Merritt only got a reprimind and he is playing this week,,, so u do get to go head to head wiv him BOP :D

One of the problems in the Port seniors is their skill level you say.
Young Josh Hand would fit in well then, if he gets so much of the ball i'm bewildered to see the club let him go.
Is it too hard to pull the bloke aside & work with him one on one with his execution skills?

Massive in for the Rams with the return of the mullet!! For those who have not seen this kid watch him (its not hard to miss him!!) coz this kid is a superstar. If PNU are ever gonna win a game in the first half of the year this has got to be the week, shown improvement over the past few weeks so hopefully they can convert it into their first win for the year.

I very much agree, fingers crossed for the Falcons. With Garry Macca recently giving up the fags (cigarettes) the boys would wanna make sure they have another red hot dip. A couple of good ins will help. It would be nice to have a win b4 we comfront Goodwood (who apparently go alright) next week

Congrats to the Tigers, made my comment look rather silly.
Hope they've used all their petrol tickets and don't fire a shot next week V the Rams

Don't tell me my "advice" was used at Broadview as an incentive. OMG, I cant even get it that far at my own club, maybe now I can understand why.
Looking forward to next week, perhaps I can conjour up something else.

A terrific effort from the Gepps boys yesterday, took them a while to shake off the Gullies who are short through injuries but the endeavour, teamwork and skill all returned on the same day. Well led by Hudson & McLean onball and with the run & carry of "the Mullet" and others, Gepps ran away in the end to win comfortably.
Alex Stengle mopped up across halfback and with the exception of Chambers, all TTG forwards were well held and only the Rams poor kicking and a couple of very bad defensive errors kept TTG in the game until halfway through the 3rd quarter.
Gepps best - Hudson (outstanding) McLean(ankle problem again) Hand( Port have no idea, they've let a good kid go) Stengle, Blakemore & Thompson
Broadies next week, it will be just like old times.

I learnt a long time ago TT, always tell it how it is! Credit where credit is due and it was certainly warranted. I overlooked the umpires performance which was FIRST CLASS, Bailsy & Braunack did a great job and MB is a far better umpire when not accompanied by last year's "Golden Shower" winner.
BTW TT, it's a polo shirt and is very classy, makes you look somewhat taller and has no influence on the performance of the Valley boys whatsoever, nice try! ;)
