Grub rarely goes Gatt I can vouch for that and it would have hurt him to do it but after race 5 Gatt would have been odds on when he was leading by 1 with 2 top rides to come. AG found the value but it just happened to be Gatt. And yet again he found a way to get beaten with some poor rides proving he is the most over rated hoop in the state.

Just on this, and excuse my ignorance for asking this question, but if all of us here can see that Gatt is a butcher (and MANY people I chatted with on Adelaide Cup day all said the same thing) then how come he get's so many rides?

Especially when a bloke who I rate, in Ben Claridge, finds himself without many rides so often these days.

Has always been something that perplexes me.

Top call CP, Ben Claridge has probably of the best strike rates in the state per average per rides to winners/Placings. Think His David Hayes/ Paul Seater connection is keeping him in the game.

According to a friend of mine who owns a few horses, she said Benny is one of the best blokes you would meet too and is very easy to deal with ... He was cruising in the lead of the JC's a few months back, but since then he seems to be getting less and less rides. :(

Ok today boys, had a bit of a look and boys its a tough day.

Mount Gambier
Sheesh, anyone could win it. Two hurdles races which makes it bit tougher too. Be interesting to see what kind of market they come up with
Seriously anyone of Tormeur, Patterson, Herriman, Puls, Frew, Lyon, Mcechnie could take this home too. One of the most even looking lineups I've seen so just go the value out of them!!

Bendigo
Nikolic and Boss will fight out favourtisim. Both with 6 quality rides
Rodd, Allen, Murphy and Nolen next in line.
Newitt and Zahra on the outside of betting.

Like Lyon Patterson or AOJ In Adelaide

Lyon has a most likely 3 points, which gives him a good boost

THink something like 6 or 7 may be good enough there today

My thoughts today.

The mount.
Patterson moppy? No chance
I think tourneur will be short price fav and deserves to be, but i give chances to mckechnie, puls, hermann, lyon and frew, and the best rides for those are in races that tourneur's best chances are... So just gotta find value and hope.

Bendigo
Only four chances i can see... Boss and nikolic and they won't be fighting against each other much, and rodd and zahra, but again aren't really in boss and nikolic's races so i think it will be boss or nikolic.

Kembla Grange
Brown and shinn will be on the first line of betting but i think robl is a massive chance and chances to
Buckley, clark and maybe schofield.

Toowoomba
Best, banks, yamada, yoshida and ashton the chances... I have them in that order so will look for value when the markets come out

On a side note, noticed Nikolic lately has been getting almost full cards, quality rides too. Bit strange that when the investigation was going on he wasn't getting rides and now he is being charged he is getting the rides.

I think at country race tracks, yesterday being a prime example, that just cos a jockey has favoured rides it means squadoosh, donkeys were winning yesterday.

I only mentioned Patterson because he has a full card, his mount in R2 is a good chance, and his mount in R6 looks ok. And the others, who knows in Mt Gambier.

But at $5 no thankyou!

Don't mind the value about Frew and Herrman
