Hey Zed...
Pascoe is playing down back mostly. Good support for young McCarthy. Marc Marshall was the plan for the big man up forward but both he and Scotty Peterson are nursing injuries at the moment.

Juggernaut?? Not quite mate. Good to have all grades doing ok at the moment though. Lots of water to go under the bridge yet. We know we are a long way off where we want to be in the A's but have shown some good glimpses. As much we all loved Mitch, Weaves has come to the club and taken alot of the boys to the next levle with there footy. Really refreshed the group. No mention of the P-word yet

That's how I read it to. What's going on there?

Might make for an interesting return match between the 2.

Robbo trained with us tuesday. Awaiting clearance. May line up this week. My understanding is that he had a 'falling out' at greenacres. I dont think we need to go into details though. I dont know them and am not really interested.

I look forward to getting to know him better. Hope he fits in with the group

Zed we have 4 senior teams, an under 18's and 22 junior teams. Plus I think we have a girls team too now which is awesome for the club.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Yep. 2 in every age group from under 6's thru to under 15's, 1 16's, 1 18's and we actually have 2 girls teams, under 13's and under 16's. So 24 teams if you wanna get technical.

Yeah look, retaining them is the big thing that has been hard in the past with higher division teams like TTG, Modbury, Salisbury North and Salisbury being a better option for young lads wanting to play a higher div plus the pressure from their SANFL clubs to play higher if they aren't getting selected there. I noticed we have 3 club juniors in the under 23 squad now at other clubs, a few playing SANFL and a few at AFL clubs so our ability to move up the grades will help us keep those kids around. Plus we don't pay alot so other clubs are a much more tempting offer sometimes...

But we are building a good club and *enter cliche* we are taking things one week at a time and building a future for the kids out Golden Grove way to be proud of.

:ymapplause: i think a lot of clubs have lost sight of this.
on that note we have made a massive push in the past year or 2 too get the school kids whether they are 1st or 4ths players out to the club and i think the results are speaking for themselves. we also have the 1st VXIII preso's with ours which is great.
