When I was a kid we used to live next door to a plumber - he was a swinger! Had wife-swapping parties with the neighbours (not my parents, thank God).

As for something else that gives me the sh1ts... my car! Overheated this morning. Turns out it needs a new water pump. There goes $300.

The neighbour I grew up next door to and is still my mums neighbour has lived in his house for 40 years and still has the plastic sheets throughout the house on the carpet to protect it !! And he washes his plastic shopping bags and hangs them on the line...

When I was in high school we moved house. Our new neighbour caused a bit of a disturbance at around four in the morning. He was a taxi driver and he'd brought a hooker home. This woman came knocking on our door, screaming that our neighbour wouldn't give her the $50 required for her services. For some reason she was also carrying a broom. She wanted us to ring the police, so my dad did - then she realised that the police would arrest her, not my neighbour, so she changed her mind and asked us to ring a taxi. But Dad had already rung the police so he said no. Then he told her to get a real job - 'You can start by sweeping our porch!' he said, gesturing at the broom. Anyway, the cops came, she didn't get her $50 and they took her away in the patrol car. I think we may have kept the broom.

Not that I'd ever considered it before, but that was the definitive moment for me when I decided that I absolutely did NOT want to be a prostitute as long as I lived. I couldn't imagine the horror of having to have sex with someone like my neighbour - he was repulsive! AND he used to mow the lawn in his jocks.

My gf had an MRI earlier this year or late last year and it would of cost $400 but her step sister worked at the place so she got it from free.
