Earl and Alehouse both are top notch, as is the Mawson Lakes Pub, Tap Inn and in the front bar of the Waterloo Station at Paralowie.

I'm actually one of those people who has kept a list of the pubs where I have consumed a schnitzel, I'm up to 54 and counting. Haven't been to the Overland Corner CN, have heard good things though.

Yeah it wasnt so tough.

Recently hit the Earl with 3 mates and we all finished the big ones...

The biggest one I had was the Mawson Lakes Schnitty challenge. Got through it and could barely get the free beer down! Seriously massive. Worth the drive out there (for us southerners)

I just ate a chicken schnitzel burger made by a bunch of bible bashers raising money for their church by running a cafe during the week.
Their friendly service is matched by their generous serves.
For $7 you get a burger that will effectively cripple your work output for the rest of the afternoon and a generous serve of chips.
Like the feet of the Israelites, the chips were warm, crisp and crunchy.
And like the Z that stands for Zion, they were also zig-zag crinkle cut.
I didn't realise they existed anymore. Maybe it was just a miracle. A resurrection even.
Anyway, the burger stands tall, imposing on the plate but not taller than the height of your mouth, and I think that's important.
From the lightly toasted sesame-seed bun, the mayonnaise and lettuce are the first two layers in this heavenly construction.
Not just your regular ice-berg lettuce, this was the fancy stuff.
Below was some sliced tomato, ripely red and sliced to the perfect thickness.
I like beetroot on my burgers, others may not, but unlike in hell, most ingredients are optional.
Separating the beetroot from the buger was a layer of tasty cheese.
Notice I said layer, not slice, as judging by the thickness, it was two slices of tasty cheese.
This was nice and soft, slightly melted by the warm, genuine chicken schnitzel breast below.
It was all finished off with a light spread of tomato sauce.
All in all, the dining experience was better than adultery without the burning in hell part.
Right in front of me. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

I had a beef Snitty with pepper sauce
The snitty was a bit underdone but was quite thick, the sign of a good porterhouse base
The crumb was nice and crunchy and the battered chips, supreme
All in all for $9.90 it was a nice arvo feed

Ill give it 3 and a 1/2 snittys out of 5

If anyone ever comes over to Pt Lincoln, there's half a dozen pubs, five sell schnitty's that range between the size of a five-year olds hand, and up to half a pizza- real lotteries...

OR...

Go to the Pier Hotel, where the schnitzel is priced the same, but is always dangling either end of the side of the plate...

Smartest thing our cricket club did was get sponsorship there!

Go there after the game, once everyone eats (or tries to eat) one of their schnittys (you got fined the price of a schnitty if you didn't order one), they're too full to go and cause mischief!

Whenever I am starving, down to the Pier, and devour what must be the Arnold Schwarzanegger of chickens, in schnitzel form.

Yep they are a stupid size. Just around the corner from my office..so when people come over from Melbourne office I often take them to the Leicester for dinner, a dinner with a challenge. Only one of these interstaters has ever finished a Leicester schnitty so far. He was happy at the time but not the next day. Most others have been terrified. Do they grow chickens that big in SA? :D

Really i dont find it hard to smash one of them at all in fact i was timed by my workmates at lunch one Friday arvo and came in at a very pleasing 6:51. Happened to be the 'Kermits Revenge' in the liar size as well as the chips salad and bread. I think the most worrying part was that i had tea some 2 1/2 hours later
