Round 9 - Central District v WWT @ Elizabeth Sat 22nd May

Postby GWW » Sun May 16, 2010 8:37 pm

The Bulldogs have hit some pretty ominous form in their last few games, and will be a very tough assignment for the Eagles this week.

The Eagles will be hoping to get one or both of Salter or Schulz back this week, but regardless of who comes into their side, I think the Bulldogs will win by around 6 goals.

Central COULD welcolme back a few players from injuries such as Hayes, Duncan, C.Gowans, Henderson, Symes, Boyd, Barmby, Dunne ?

I think it will be a good game, with the Doggies getting up in a close one...

central by 5 points.

Dogs comfortably IMO - we always struggle out there

Eagles will finish between 3rd & 6th, I think.

Important game is the following week v Legs @ Home, lose 3 in a row & back in the pack.

Would think out off all them the only 2 realistically that would play league if fit would be Hayes and Henderson, C.Gowans if fit and had played at least one trial would also come straight in but hasnt played a whole game since last years GF so would have to have a run in the ressies.

Bernie Vince will be pretty handy on the wide open spaces of the Ponderosa.

I feel a bit better hearing vince will play and hopefully Salter and shulz in the forward line.along with Seb back to help Parry in the ruck.

I think one of either schulz or salter will play for the power.

Massive game for the Eagles this one. We usually play well at Elizabeth - even if not always taking home the points. Vince will fit in quite nicely!

Agree Aerie, we very rarely get belted there, have a good crack, but always feel as though they just have our measure. Think this will be similar, probably about four goals.

Is it karma for Bernie ?

Interested to see what team the Doggies name this week, their reserves could be very strong if Roy Laird sticks to word of making the senior players returning from injury to come back through the reserves.

Yeah but the good old advertiser article talks about Bernie being in doubt to play against the lions this week because of his sore knee.

I am sure i hear something about a few crows players being suspended this week   .
