Don't get all defensive now OE ;)

I'm just saying that the game against Greenies shouldn't be what you base your season on.... I agree wholeheartedly that you guys have displayed some great signs this year already but it would be wrong to think a win against a second rate strength Greenies side is the measuring stick.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

That's all I'm saying OE ;)
But the comments are correct. It's such an even grade and interesting to note the 2 relegated Div 3 teams are currently 8th (Salisbury) and 10th (Woody South) whilst the 2 promoted Div 5 teams are 2nd (WOS) and 6th (Pulteney)....

Injuries will determine the final ladder posi in my opinion. we have lost 2 games by under 2 goals which tells me we are close, but by no mean are we thinking we are the ducks nuts

Tend to agree tt, Greenies were fantastic against the Jets the other week, so we all need to be especially ready for WOS in D4 this year.

Golden Grove nutted us Laser and were touted as favourites before the season. You'll have your hands full with them this weekend.

Yes but we were nutted by Greenies so go figure !! That's my point. It's a week in, week out proposition so nothing is set in concrete and teams must continue to work hard and take their chances. It's nice to have the division so close though I have to say. 5 of our 6 games have been very close so far and that can only be good for the comp.... not great for my heart tho...

Percentage will play a big part I would think... as it did last year when we missed out by 0.4%...

Interesting question OE. We are a 3rd the way thru the season and the ladder looks like this -

Division 4
Team Gms W D L For Agst Pts %
Pooraka 6 5 0 1 613 503 10 54.9%
Westminster OS 6 4 0 2 633 466 8 57.6%
Golden Grove 6 4 0 2 562 493 8 53.3%
Greenacres 6 4 0 2 599 535 8 52.8%
Fitzroy 6 3 0 3 739 672 6 52.4%
Pulteney 6 3 0 3 511 469 6 52.1%
Unley 6 3 0 3 552 565 6 49.4%
Salisbury 6 2 0 4 466 488 4 48.8%
Salisbury West 6 2 0 4 486 622 4 43.9%
Woodville South 6 0 0 6 401 749 0 34.9%

I would think maybe 10 wins and a high percentage or even 11 depending on whether the bottom 3 or 4 sides can improve over the remaining part of the year. In 2009 we finished 6th with 10 wins and a percentage higher than 2 of the teams in the 5, although we were unfortunately 0.7% behind Salisbury West in 5th spot so we missed out.

The hardest part is sussing out which teams will improve and which will go backwards and give up soem easy games... mmm... very interesting !!

I've tallied all the Div 4 tips up, but not sure how to post it. Let me know if this spreadsheet attaches properly.

Missed tips are shown in red and the score is for the away teams. More than 3 missed games will see you fall out of the tipping comp.

If you believe I've missed your tips one week or got a score wrong then PM me.
