Would have liked to have been there for that.
Was there for Bean's first games with the club, always enjoyable to watch.

I know what you are talking about mate, the offending people are no longer involved with the club, they haven't been since. I was right there when it started, it was really only one person, he gave Azza a hard time about losing an elimination final and Azza fired up.
It wasn't over the top but it was in poor taste, after that it was bedlam. I don't blame Azza for getting upset about it, pretty sure he was coaching at the time and didn't need somoeone rubbing it in that he's season had just ended.

Yeah, some idiots were too busy in giving us grief for losing a final rather than celebrating their own teams performance!

apparently one of best umpired b grade games ever at smithfield on saturday and that assessment given to me from someone whos not normally complimentary of umpiring will have to get LM to pass that on

I thought the Elizabeth umpire was woeful to be honest.

A good game yesterday- despite the umpires, well played Hope Valley yesterday getting up by 5 goals. A very even team across the board and all contributed sucessfully. I thought it was our best game for the year we kept up with HV for most of the match everyone fought it out well.

The umpires were again in full flight make interesting calls left, right and centre that was killing a good game of football. A few guys said after the game that they were some of the worst umpires they've come across. This was further proven when after the game as one A.Burridge told one of them that "If I go home and neck myself you will know why" One of the worst one was when a HV player got a free kick for high contact after Jake Watts reached over the top of him, spoiled the ball cleanly and then brought the ball to ground in a fair football contest- should of been play on.

Special mentions to Jake Watts who yesterday let his emotions get the better of him after the game. He is pretty much playing on one leg, he can't see, he can't train, it takes a week for him to recover and shouldn't really be playing but he played a fantastic match yesterday and was clearly our best player. At presos last night our Assistant coach Shane Griffen who played with Jake for a long time, was brought to tears as he named Jake best player. Never before have I seen such a man get so emotional over one of his mates. I hope everyone takes some inspiration of that and take into next week, I sure did

As for next week we have Rosewater and it's going to be on, can't wait. This will be my first time playing against Rosewater and from watching previous battles and hearing all the stories about the battles we've had over the years it's going to be a huge game. We must win it.

i went out to north haven on the weekend and saw a pretty solid effort by the boys. Ty MAD DOG Duerden played up forward and seemed to offer a bit with a few goals and countless marks Any idea y they moved him?

Yeah great man and best amateur player ive seen. True Champion. On Smithfield, wat can u say, it was so appaulling the crowd behaviour that kids were sent home to protect them from listening to the filth. A true disgrace...not sure what the club or SAAFL are doing about it but something has to happen.

On the team, i can see them surpirising some sides. They sweated (if thats a word) on our turnovers all day and were damaging when they had space. Some very quick aboriginal lads were impressive and Joss was very good but probably needs to push back into defence a fair bit more than he does. The sides behaviour wasn't too bad until they got inspired by their "spectators" and decided to throw a couple...seriously do they think people are intimidated by that sh*t?

Gee mate, always quick to bag any other club, yes the Smithfield vs Elizabeth clashes always brings out some extra people and yes most of the time they aren't on the sidelines sipping chardonnay and eating hommus on jatz.
If there was offensive behaviour going on during the match, why wasn't it mentioned to the match day official? Instead of getting on here and blazing away why don't you do something constructive about it. Without going into too much, I know there's some history between some of our supporters and yours away from footy.

Also saw a red ute flying down the trail past trees with a drunk driver goin 60km over bumps n all with 10 people inc kids and chicks in tray and two people on bonnet! Absolutly shockin, surprised noone was hurt or killed!! We looked in in absolute disgust!

I know a few blokes at Smitty and i know its a good club, just a pity u have a small% of supporters that make you guys look so bad

I did the exact same thing, I know it's an easy cop out but I haven't seen that ute there before, the so called "passengers" all got off too far away from me to see who they were, I was far from impressed.

Yeah he played well for a change Guess he was moved along with a few other guys, just to mix it up a bit and play them in different positions
