Postby SANFLnut » Tue Apr 27, 2010 6:45 pm

It is usually about now that the squad is announced and they start playing against teams that have the bye. Anyone know anything?

Despite having a light hammy strain at the moment, Scott Lycett from the Magpies will be the number 1 ruckman in the side...

From what I can tell, there is at least half a dozen lads that have either played league football this year or late last season...

The fair majority of the rest of them would be or have also played reserves footy so hopefully this will mean Brenton Phillips and his squad will be competitive this season and the boys have a good carnival...

Phil, didn't we finish 2nd last year beating Vic Metro & Vic Country - I would have thought that was competitive and a good carnival :?

Nah fair enough just thought there was an inference there.
My mail is that the national view is that the next 2 years is SA's best chance to win the u18s champs for a long time. Just thought he was understating that.

Polec is on the downward slide. This kid has no idea what an opportunity he is wasting. He seems real happy to walk around with the big "head wobble" but he's backing none of that up. Played finals in in the league team last year- stinking it up in the 18's this year.

I heard a whisper that the State under 18's squad played a trial game against a combined Central side on the weekend?

Did this eventuate and if so did anyone get along to have a look at the game?
