The squealer? If you're refering to what happened a couple of years ago with that sniper ruckman you had and what he did, i think you're having a crack at the wrong guy.

Sniper Ruckman hey, obviously was unprovoked  , so the squealer accidently punched our bloke in the head 50m behind the ball infront of the umpire on Sat too. Unlucky that this Gaza player always seems to be in involved, very unlucky

Gee Jointman, What a contribution you have made to this forum
With the inclusion of players such as Burrows, Aston, Martin and Rogers around the midfield an Burkhardt and Lowe around goals i think you will find that PNU will certainly win a game this year in "duv 1" as you so eloquently put it.

It's only one persons opinion mate...

but unfortunately it's been the same scenario over so many years - can't seem to string together wins when there's no Burrows/ No Martin.

You can't say this isn't so.....

I dont think so, on saturday PNU stepped up to the challenge and held themselves very well. with the inclusions of a few more players in the next few weeks they will only get stronger and i think they might start gaining some respect in this division.
on another note, the umpiring between PNU and Henley was an absolute disgrace. 1 umpire in particular might as well had a Henley guernsey on.

We found the exact same think Chocko, the big teams have umpires in their pockets alot of the time.

I heard many grumblings regarding umpires from saturdays game but at the end of the day if you get the ball through the big white sticks enough the umpiring SHOULD even itself out over time.
No doubting its a real tough job

Not doubting that at all wristwatcher, but i have to say, it was one of the worst performances from the umps ive seen in a while... all you want as a player is consistancy from them, and that hasnt happened at all this season.

I heard from good authority that he jabbed the other bloke in the chops 6 times and has anger management issues.....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Yeah mate, we were at the game. Should get a few, not king hits, but behind the play, numerous strikes and for no apparent reason. Umpire reported him on the spot, had a pretty clear view.

Doesn't sound like Paul, unless his age is catching up with him.

i'm not saying he didn't hit him at all (i wasn't there to see), but in as in the case of your sniper ruckman, i'm sure it wasn't unprovoked either. maybe your just a tad upset with the result at the final siren and letting your emotions get the better of you.

Thats not what i got told and it was from someone who spoke to Paul directly. Of course there are always differing perceptions of incidents. One things for sure and that is he is a top bloke and certainly NOT a sniper. Always makes me feel welcome when im down at Gaza and he may play with passion on the field but there are no anger management issues that i have ever seen off the field.

Paul merritt does not have anger management issues. Absolute load of crap. Not denying the fact he may have thrown a punch though.
And footysmart, leave the Downie episode, it's gotten old. And trust me there are two sides to that story, one not being complimentary to Daz or Modbury.

 has nothing to do with Modbury anymore, Daz knows what happened and the way Downie acted wasnt to complimentary to himself or Gaza!

Just as we know what happened in the aftermath. Guess your point of view depends on what club you come from. Part of the beauty of footy.
