Ben Halliday's 100th at the club?
Great win by the Eags yesterday, close til half time, but our class and skill level just overwhelmed Smithfield in 2nd half. Jake McVicar was clearly BOG with Makris not far behind, so good to have those boys with us. The Boozehound inspired by the ferals on the hill kicked 7 straight! Awesome game from him

Ben Halliday! What can u say? The guy is an absolute legend. 1st club he has played 100 games at and were so proud to have him back. Absolute great bloke off field as well. Dave Rogers gave an awesome speech about him at presos. Safe to say there was a lotta man-love in the club for H last night :)

Yeah great man and best amateur player ive seen. True Champion. On Smithfield, wat can u say, it was so appaulling the crowd behaviour that kids were sent home to protect them from listening to the filth. A true disgrace...not sure what the club or SAAFL are doing about it but something has to happen.

On the team, i can see them surpirising some sides. They sweated (if thats a word) on our turnovers all day and were damaging when they had space. Some very quick aboriginal lads were impressive and Joss was very good but probably needs to push back into defence a fair bit more than he does. The sides behaviour wasn't too bad until they got inspired by their "spectators" and decided to throw a couple...seriously do they think people are intimidated by that sh*t?

i know when we played smithfield at home one of their supporters were passed out in the 2nd quarter during the A grade  credit to Smithfield though as they were pretty clean. Rosewater's crowd were pretty vocal as well. heard a few new insults on saturday

apparently one of best umpired b grade games ever at smithfield on saturday and that assessment given to me from someone whos not normally complimentary of umpiring will have to get LM to pass that on

y roll the eyes not going to tell us, you can bag everybody on here but can't man up

cause your not worth it!!! if you actually read through every post iv put up on here bout lodge it is because you guys are usually bagging someone else.... or making outlandish statements!!!
Also i wish to add i have no problem what so ever with blodge, have got tremendous amout of respect for the club as i do for alot of clubs... You have a excellent record against us at your ground, even the year you got relegated you still knocked us of that year out there... the older full forward was awesome.... ive always had hard games when iv played you guys!!!
So is that a good enough response for you??????

Can you remove that statement...if Azza found out you were talking about him and using the word awesome we would never hear the end of it!

Gee mate, always quick to bag any other club, yes the Smithfield vs Elizabeth clashes always brings out some extra people and yes most of the time they aren't on the sidelines sipping chardonnay and eating hommus on jatz.
If there was offensive behaviour going on during the match, why wasn't it mentioned to the match day official? Instead of getting on here and blazing away why don't you do something constructive about it. Without going into too much, I know there's some history between some of our supporters and yours away from footy.
Feel free to pm me or get in contact with me to discuss what you're talking about, duncs was raving on about some from the hill, I thought you guys had more supporters on the hill than us, I'm assuming it was from a different section of the oval.

I had to miss the first half, I was very surprised when I returned to see us up by 16 points, we were a pretty depleted side, we had another 3 pull-outs on Saturday morning along with the 6 forced changes on Thursday. I thought the endeavour shown by us was excellent, you guys finished well and had more endurance and were clearly the better more drilled side, we will be better in the back 9. You'd have to admit you got a fair run with orange men though, they were woeful, I know when we do, I feel slightly embarassed.

Hectorville V Hope Valley - to many scoring options
Plympton V Brahma Lodge - seen both the last two weeks, this could be a blow out
Elizabeth V Adelaide Lutheran - EFC at home, haven't seen AL play
Rosewater V North Haven - a western derby, Rosies hard to beat at home
Smithfield V Blackfriars - good honest contests between our clubs in the past 2 years

Each club is going to have their good and bad supporters... and the lodge is certainly no exception.

One final does come to mind though LM, where i thought the supporters may have taken it too far!

I know what you are talking about mate, the offending people are no longer involved with the club, they haven't been since. I was right there when it started, it was really only one person, he gave Azza a hard time about losing an elimination final and Azza fired up.
It wasn't over the top but it was in poor taste, after that it was bedlam. I don't blame Azza for getting upset about it, pretty sure he was coaching at the time and didn't need somoeone rubbing it in that he's season had just ended.

Yeah mate it was the south eastern pocket on Main North Road. Not trying to have a cheap shot, but I am not an official. I am sure any official there from both sides would have heard and seen the sort of thing that went on.

The umpiring was very ticky touch. The player in front got every free kick and sometimes they weren't there....
Harsh but fair.....
