great preview rossco and that is the sort of stuff that we should read on this site. I have been impressed since the new site has started. well done to all, keep it up.
If waybacks can't beat bostons by 40+ they have problems

The question was posed when I was the first guy to tip Rangers over Bostons last week by 40+ "Who's going to kick all the goals??"

It doesn't matter who Bostons play, they might have two or three defenders who can stop an opponent, the problem is most clubs have more than three goal scoring players!

Is my old cult hero Pie Warmer playing? He could kick a bag...

The pie warmer is not playing from what I hear

My predicted goal kickers are Sampson 5, Kelsh 3, Vogelsanger 3, Williams 2, Keatley 2

my predicted scores are

Waybacks 18.14 def Bostons 6.8

South 14.12 def Mallee Park 12.6

Tasmans 15.10 def M Range 4.8

Well what a game this will be.....
Tasman v Marble Range
Wangary
Umpires: Brenton Parsons & Craig Shearer
With all the to-ing and fro-ing of both these clubs in the pre-season.... it's finally here! Whats a "poaching tribunal" between friends!! Carl Semmler, a fantastic player for the Rangers now coaching Tasmans. Tasmans of all teams, I hear the Ranger faithfull calling. There is no love lost on these two clubs. Carl to Tasmans and Matt Parker back to the Rangers, two playing coaches, two astute guys on the sidelines with Sticks and Stink.... the plot thickens. Unfortunately for the Maggies I reckon thats where the excitment stops. Tasmans will be hurting after last weeks loss.... but to be honest maybe, just maybe it's exactly what they needed - the forth and bubble has subsided and a few feet are back on earth. It has been exciting for them, for the first time in a few years they look to have assembled a team that can go deep into September - when the wather fines up and the rain has stopped. So Ranger fans pray for rain - for the seeding and to stop the rolling maul of the very tall Rooster team. Rangers are a proud club and will take it up to the Roosters for a half, but Tasmans will be too fit and will have too many options up forward, and I think the Rangers havent got the man power to cover the all those forwards AND kick a score themselves - especially with out 6 from Seeman. Matt Parker is a key, can he hold up a key forward position or play as the roaming forward - 3 goals last week. Does Brooks go forward like he did last week - or will they need him down back.....A long day for the Magpie coaching staff - Tasmans 1 -39

Thats enough from me - Good luck to all teams....[/quote]
very good rossco, i am looking forward to watching the game as a footy follower, i think there could be a few from great flinders going to the game. it will be great to watch a game from another league instead of being in the confines of the coaches box!
just 1 thing rossco where is all this bloody rain you are talking about? this time last year we were nearly finished seeding and this year the tractor has flat battery! you are right though, pray for rain!!
lincoln footy has break next week, i urge you all to consider coming to cummins for ramblers v cougars. should be interesting match.

Daicos... I'm confused...

Yes, it's a guarantee that Waybacks will win convincingly, but how on earth do you expect them to kick more goals than points? :D

Youre right TRR and djd, should be a cracker at wangary today. I think a lot of people underestimate the rangers this year. I think their side is full of quality footballers and better than last year. Don't be surprised to see them get very close to tassies today, if not knock them off.

Maryanne Murphy kept going on about us not playing the Kinlough Cup at Ravendale to match up with netball. Get over it Maryanne, we will play at the home of football and the best oval. Not where you want us to play

I don't think the Grub is biased. He can talk more about Souths, because he has had an obvious involvement there, same as I could talk more about Bostons than any other club, Steiger more about Rangers, etc, etc, etc...

Can confirm the Kinlough will be held at Centenary. Home of PL Football.

Bugger netball.

EEFL def. GFFL by 27 pts at Cleve.

EEFL blew a 7 goal lead half way through the third quarter and began the final quarter just 8 points up.

EEFL also won 17's and 15s, GFFL the 13's

Tasmans got in front of us early and held that advantage all day. We were competative and will only improve from here. Missing key forwards hurt us badly
