the eagles despite losing a few players will absolutely smash us this week.

The players arent reacting to anything Mickan is saying at the moment, and have had 2 very animated discussions as a group.

we need to get back on track and everyone needs to be on the same page going forward......hope this happens soon, but i have my doubts

Ooh, I feel like I'm listening to a press conference! Well, reading a transcript anyway...

I have a bad feeling about the game, but given how my SANFL tipping is going this year, that probably means the Bays will come out and smash them!

Grocke out .Day in first league game against his old team ;)
Godden coaching against his last team ;)
Not certain if Parry will be an in but if he comes in can play up forward as well as in the ruck.

Guys in every game this year it hasn't been salter and grocke but the smalls as well.In fact salts has been out of sorts the last two weeks.

with the quality of wwt's outs this week, i think that if glenelg can't win at home this week we are in huge trouble for the rest of the season & our form isn't great having won 3 of our last 8 games & was very lucky to win one of those 3 games.......having said that i would expect glenelg to win tomorrow
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

C'mon Bayman, this doesn't sound like you. Lot of improvement left in our side regardless of the result tomorrow. Still confident of a win though.

This is a great chance for the Eagles too stand up too some adversity here in my opinion..

Losing Salter, Grocke, Schultz and Guilhaus is going too strech any side, it also doesnt bode well for Mitch Banner that he drops out of the side when we lose so many players, albeit the players lost are key forwards/ruckmen, were he is a midfielder.. The inclusions of Broadbent and Parry are big ins, Thompson gets another chance to impress, Day gets his shot against his old club, lets hope he doesnt have a 'Grocke' like day against his old side and keeps his head.. Cant give you much on Heinjus to be perfectly honest..

Glenelg, I think they will regain Hitchcock and Carr from the Power squad, with Nash and Schultz expected to come in for Tredrea and Krakeour, and since they are listed as there only 2 outs, They should be a fairly strong outfit..

Im going to say this is Goddens first real test, its against his old club, we have a few blokes out, things are against us this week, I hope he responds well and gets the players up for what is a vital clash in terms of the season, gives us some breathing space on the comp if we can win here.

Geez I know a few of us make some outlandish 'dramatic' posts on SAFOOTY
Toadys Advertsier headline by Warren Partland is ????
Headline
"" BIGLAND'S SURPRISE RETURN LIFTS EAGLES.""

That comment is bewildering

Good luck to Aaron Day
Why he crossed to EG who have a star studded forward line is ???
SALTER/WELSH/GROCKE/SHULTZ are always gunna get the gig b4 Aaron
DAY gets a game becoz mad dog Salter and mad dog GROCKE got reported and SHULTZ replaces TREDDERS in the AFL
2 weeks ago DAY would have been thinking if he would get a call up this season

Hope Aaron plays well, he is a underated player

Refresh my memory AM, did he play last Friday against Norwood?

Dear Mr Mickan
Your team wont have a better chance than this week to defeat the EG
SLATER/GROCKE/SHULTZ out leaves them with a suspect forward line this week
GRIMA/SELLAR [if plays forward] give you more potency up forward
So the EG down field players in defence and the onballers will need to play very well to win this game
Also the Bay oval is somewhat of a fortress the last 2 years
However there is one EG player who must be stopped
A man that some opposition coaches have not tried to match up on or stop him often enough
He is :
mid twenties
183 in height
weighs mid eigties
going to play his 100th game this season , barring injury, or a lapse of form !
has blonde hair
a fair chance of winning the EG best and fairest in 2010
might even win a Mag Medal in 2010
he is a sweeper
he is a catalyst
he is the playmaker
he is in sensational form this season

Mr Mickan he must be stopped

___________________________________________________________________

Im guessing Mr Mickan wont read this post and alert his players
But Plan B Mr Bayman willl, which is the next best thing ...

*chuckle* Ah good ol' mad-cap.

That wasn't the intent of my post but anywho, I'll have a nibble.

I know you are a psuedo snout so you tell me if he played (10th post down)....

http://www.snoutslouts.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5842&start=45

Our issue isn't personel it is work-rate and adherance to what we know works, that is where our improvement is going to come, IMO, FWIW, etc etc etc...

<edit> meant to add, but thanks for your concern on Josh (if he plays for us again) and our welfare as a footy club.

Even though Human Torpedo doesn't like my comments on the eagles ;) .I will try and be informative in this one .As one who watches both league and seconds games every week.
I have watched this young man both last year coming in from the juniors and this year playing just seconds games.Sam Heinjus started out as a CHF/forward .Last year I think he was one of the guys thrown into the ruck when our ruck stocks were low.
This year he has been playing up forward and I think just the last 2 weeks has been thrown into rucking duties .He stood up 2 weeks back when power listed Redden got injured in a seconds game against west when the Eagles had 16 fit players left standing.
I don't have his height listed here. But he is tall lanky/rangy can take a high flying mark. And has a very long kick on him.
Would think he got his chance as Hoops is not ready for the league just yet.

Although this is the ABC TV game and there is no radio broadcast of this one, make sure you tune in to 107.9 LifeFM tomorrow for our first run of the Duo-Cast format we are trying.

After ironing out a few hiccups last week, we seem to be set to go this round and with John Nankivell and Phil Herden positioned at Unley calling the Sturt v South game, I am going to be at Glenelg giving very regular updates and even possible snippets of calling the game if time permits.

So for regular score and action updates of the Glenelg v Eagles game live from Gliderol Stadium, make sure you tune in to LifeFM tomorrow from 1.30pm for the SANFL's only duo-cast coverage.

Just for Mal .Aaron Day has been named on the Eagles extended bench .Just about every week .
For my mind I thought he may have been a walk up start in this Eagles team. But the trial games proved he was not quite ready.
As I stated above on Heinjus.I watch both games every week. Day plays very much like Adam Grocke .Can kick a long goal and can also take a big mark.
Can also be moved down back if need be.
I just hope he doesn't get to carried away against his old side.
For my mind Mal once you are appointed the Seconds captain as Aaron was at the bay .Means to me you aren't playing many league games.
