Jeeze ur keen!

Ins for us so far are MIck McKay and Todd Roberts. Josh Draper is returning from Port Adelaide district to play for us aswell after 2 injury riddled seasons where he only played 2 a grade games, after playing a grade for 3 years from 16-19 and taking 3-4 michelles in that time!

Looking at using Hoppy as a first/second change bowler this year!

Bloody nora, we haven't even had our AGM yet.
Good news for us is that everyone is staying on, including the two Brokensha boys.
Ross believes he has 3-5 players from Brighton coming over & we are confident that Michael Thomas will be back.
Only sad news is the retirement of club champion Shane Pitt.
Shane won Club Bowling, C grade batting & Bowling, C Grade medal (by 111 votes) & Cricketer of the Year last season at 35 years of age. The bloke is a freak.
Great club person, player & mate. Good Luck in Sydney pal!

Our AGM will be held in July. I wouldn't expect many changes to us off field but hopefully we can get a few new guys on board to go a couple of steps further next season.

Robbie Hopkins will be captain again next year.

S Elletson's clearance form will be locked in a metal brief case accompanied by its own armoured guard to ensure it gets to the desired club without any issues whatseoever. We are also looking into a police escort and blocking off some major highways to acomodate quick, traffic-less thoroughfare.

Is that a decision by the pres, or does it get voted on? We accept nominations at AGM in July and set captains at first committee meeting following AGM.

We had our first committee meeting for the new season tonight. We had our AGM on Presentation night (back in April) and I would recommend it to all clubs to do the same, gets it out of the way and you can get an early start on things.

Thats if Robbie wants it Bloods ;)

Nah he will be captain next year!

We are similar to you AF, where nominations can be sent to the executive committee, IIRC, and then voted on during the first/second committee meeting after the AGM. Think its generally set down around August!

Cant see too many changes at our club, maybe a smaller committee which would be a good thing, but captains wise, the A and D grade to be the same, the C grade im unsure about, depending on where last years captain wants to play, and B grade, well it depends where certain people line up!

We dont have any captaincy procedure set in stone, its up to the committee of the time hwo they want to go about things, whether nominations go up or whether the committe head-hunts people.

We had our AGM about a month ago, as i was not standing again this year i felt it would be benificial to whoever got the job that he had as long as possible to get things organised for the coming season.

Ultimately by the president but we have always sought the input of the executive committee and to a lesser extent the general committee.

Bazza how could you have your AGM on the preso night? Surely people want to get stuck into the beers and preso's not go through the formalities of an AGM.

AGM started at 6:00pm and presos started at 7:30pm, more than enough time to get everything done. :drinkers: :partyman: ;)

We at Keswick do the same. Still have a few beers but its just a good way i find to get more players and supporters to the AGM, and i think everyone can attest to the fact that there is usually only a few people at a club that do the work so....having the AGM on the same night as presos just means we can get a few more to the club.

Keswicks Preseos

JJ Hepinstal Player of the Year - Shaun Hanson
MVP players choice award - Shaun Hanson
A grade player of the year - Lucky Singh and Russell Curyer
A grade Batting - Heath MacKay
A grade bowling - Lucky Singh
A grade fielding - Paul McGowran

As far as our captains process, the committee opens a window for a period where anybody may put an application for captancy of any grade in. Once the window finishes, the committee will then vote on who they believe is the right person for the job and have even conducted interviews for captaincies before. very good process, very professional and gives every player an equal opportunity to have their views of the direction of the club heard.

Congratulations to Kym Woodward & Grant Whellum on recieving Life Membership this year. Well deserved.
Congats also to James Wilson on Best Club Man Award.
Finally a mention to Danny Miller on the B grade Medal. Nearly as old as the bloke it is named after. ;)
