Did YOU SEE the EYE GOUGE of Wyman's ???
Which Stand are you talking about (re: 'Hero') because it was IN FACT a North bloke in a HOODIE, that wanted to, & I quote "Go outside" - he was insighting the violence from in front of the Jarman Stand & I didn't see ANY WESLO Wallys.
Please explain!

I had a go at the SANFL bloke doing the scoreboard at yesterday's game for not putting them up quick enough. His reply was that he was not getting the updates from the SANFL.... I said bring a radio FFS! I know the SANFL manage the scoreboard at Woodville Oval - is this different at other Clubs?

Salter will more than likely get a game, as those types of shirtfronts, which was a fraction too late, and a fraction too high are a big no no.
Whyman will get a week. Couldn't even hit the target with a punch yesterday.![]()
Grocke 1-2 weeks? Was reported by umpire, commentators and spectators all seen the incident, so there is no denying Grocke struck Macca. Baffling how the Eagles still maintained the ball, after two reports.

Againm its all hearsay since I havent seen them so i wont comment any further. BUT, I will add I dont find Grocke to be a sniper at all, one incident doesnt make a bloke a sniper, he has shown himself too be nothing more than an honest hard working forward since he has come across too the Eagles, and I find this incident too be somewhat out of character, in my honest opinion anyway.

Sniper may be a bit harsh to describe him week by week but given we North people only see him 2 or 3 times a year he rightly seems to get "fired up" when he plays his old club which he was discarded from. To be fair he has been a very good performer for the Eagles and whilst we may now regret letting him go, at the time he left he couldn't find any regular consistency at North in the League and clearly as is the case with many other players - a change of club often brings the best out in them.
However his actions on Saturday were cowardly on two counts. He went and stood over Thring when he got cleaned up and obviously gave him a spray and from what has been relayed to me what he said was what you would expect from a coward trying to prove his toughness. Rightly so McIntrye went in and remonstrated with Grocke who waited until Macca started to turn then cowardly punched him and despite Macca being a very tough and resilant player, the blow was hard enough to have him stretchered off and then taken to hospital. I certainly hope he regrets what he did as I'm sure he wouldn't have like to have been taken out of the game illegally and ending up in hospital!

Would have to agree. Grocke seems to be a fair and reasonable contributor in most cases so wouldn't label him a sniper for one incident, but I wasn't too far away from it and it was poor form on many levels. Hopefully he accepts his fate, learns from it and moves on.

Well clearly in between frames Salter pulled out a baseball bat from under his jumper and clobbered Thring in the arm.ferret wrote:Saw Salters incident at the game and have looked at it in slow motion many times. In my opinion Salter tried to bump Thring to keep him running on to receive a possible return hand ball. The Football can clearly be seen in the frame so I suggest it was not probably more than 5 metres away. It appears Salter collected Thring more towards his side than up the front. Also Thring was seen with arm in a sling after the match and the problem seemed to be his shoulder.

Agree with you though ferret both incidents are not worthy of a report let alone any games.

Interesting one this...saw it at the game...but missed the one with Grocke, wasnt til i saw Thring walking off that i realised McIntyre was down aswell.
It appeared that the ump (think it was Colin Rowston) paid the free kick to advantage which would be the correct call i would have thought, but then when Thring hadnt got up it was only then that he appeared to get the book out. Despite the fact that im an Eagles fan i don't think it warranted a report, free kick no doubt and maybe a 25m Penalty. Didnt see the Grima incident but if he got a week for something similar then would expect Salts to sit it out....the bump as we knew it is closer to death!
