I reckon Dion Hibberd was on the $1000 minute on Triple M this morning - only got $70.

i think that the players think they are better than they are and untill they decide to play some team footy they will continue to lose games that they shouldn't.

OK they have some key players missing but still have the makings of a good team and should be doing a lot better.

They should be 4 & 1 actually are 3 & 2 realistically should be 2 & 3

I hope things turn around soon as all does not seem well at the kennel at the moment!

Yeah its interesting isnt it, not sure what the answer is, they have key players out but we have a b grade team that hasn't lost a game for a while and therefore should be able to reasonably cover any injuries or player losses.

Maybe the boys have got a few tickets on themselves at the moment. They've got a few flashy players, but haven't got the mongrel in them that they have had in years gone. I didnt see the game on saturday so can't comment on exactly what happened.

Jimmy is back next week i believe, but if they are waiting for him to be some sort of saviour we may see a few more losses!

Some very selfish players playing A grade for plympton at the moment who play for themselves and refuse to follow simple instructions. If they ever start playing like a TEAM they might actually show something!

College Footy = an often un-founded collective term for soft footy players

I was using it as a descriptive term, and not in any way referring to any footballers or teams as soft (apart from the team i was describing)

And just so i dont get any plymtpon noses out of joint, i'm not saying that the side is soft, but has periods during matches that they aren't as hard as they'd like to be...

phew!

hard to be hard all day jabber :)

un-founded indeed about college footy, just ask our bloke who ended up with 7 stitches in his forehead saturday. he still ahd a smile after the game.

i thought plympton were hard at it all day, just as the heat went up a few times they were found to fumble like everyone does when put under pressure.

now we need to bring the same game this saturday and see what happens.

Thats why i said un-founded.

But for a long time there has been a generalisation that college footy sides are soft, which is not a debatable subject because it is simply not true, but the term is still loosely used.

That is a good comment Sprint they did have to many players who got the fumbles under pressure.

Also jabber i agree with depth issue they have an undefeated B grade and 25 players every week in C grade so they should be able to cover most players!

On another note the standard of the umpiring during the A grade was a disgrace. To see an umpire cheat like one did is a joke, he must have had a connection to North Haven as he was even giving high fives to their players and giving free kicks to them when not in control of play. On the half time siren a mark was taken by a Haven player on the 50m, the siren sounded and we all said he would come down and give a 25m penalty, the lodge player marked the spot then stayed behind it (we watched to make sure) the player then kicked into the man on the mark and yes you guessed it, whistle and 25m was given.
This is not North Havens fault but i hope for the sake of other clubs he doesn`t umpire any of their games from now on.

SOUNDS LIKE A FAIR DINKUM CHEAT TO ME!

he was blowing the whistle 100m behind the play... i even asked the other umpire what he was doing and he laughed and said what can i do. what really annoyes me is he was so picky for everything little like a players broke his finger nail..free kick. but yet when wed won the game and afew of there players started hitting the player after hed kicked the ball hed supprisingly miss it... i looked at him once and said hows his head???? he stopped the game and gave me a yellow card. i can assure u there were no swear words thats all i said.. how is this a yellow card??? please explain????????????

One positive you can take out of this is you have learnt a lesson, do not EVER ask 'hows his head' [-x

Maybe if you had of asked 'hows his f#*ken head' you would of been ok

An unfortunate update from HV, news that young gun Lawrence Dipalma requires a knee recon from a knock sustained on sat. Is having LARS surgery but will still rule him out for the remainder of the season. Sad news for the young fella, another lad recruited by charlie from the u18's that was showing some real promise. All at HV wish him a speedy recovery and hope he is fit and firing for season 2011

Very sad news. A good young kid just starting to find his feet in A grade footy. No doubt he will return and play many more A grade games for HVFC.

Futhermore if you think every other side has the same lack of credibility to accept points you CLEARLY dont deserve you are mistaken. Aussie Rules Footy (particularly at amateur level) is about team spirit, courage, and mateship. Not about sharking points on a clerical error and then defending the SAAFL for handing them to you. As you would know most roles around a footy club are filled with volunteers and if they should be responsible for losing points for a simple clerical error then why would you do it..... We'll see how it pans out anyway I suppose but looking forward to the return bout sooooooo much more.

So where was your spirit and mateship, when you jumped ship and went to Elizabeth??

Not that I need to explain to a knob like you but I returned to a club where I played junior footy and my first senior game to play with and under old team mates. And left on great terms with EP after no longer having the committment to play div 2. It makes you look very stupid when you make a comment about something you know very little (nothing) about....

Just the kind of mature response I expected. Hook, line and sinker...

How does it make you look making ridiculous comments hoping to get a little reaction.... you're like soooooo mature
Harsh but fair.....
