Surely the Blues cover my line.... St Kilda's average score this year is 85 points - and thats over exagerrated by the 143 kicked in a 100 point win against the Kangaroos....

They haven't even cracked 50 in the last two games...

Carlton are averaging over 98 points a game.... Can't see St Kilda kicking enough and keeping Carlton low enough to win by more than 25 points....

Anytime you start a thought with "Surely..." you know there's second thoughts...

Just chuck a hundred on the St Kilda line and have a more peaceful watch of the footy!

ALL the details and analysis for tonight's big game, with state by Champion Data:

ETIHAD STADIUM

TONIGHT 7.20PM

SAINTS' ATTACKING ISSUES

There is no doubt that St Kilda's attack is well down on last year. After Round 6 in 2009 it was averaging 110 points a game and by Round 22 it had fallen to 100 a game. This season the Saints have kicked 85 points a game and if it wasn't for the best accuracy in the competition, it may have been worse. St Kilda has had 124 scoring shots in 2010 - the equal second-fewest in the competition before Round 7 with Adelaide. In the first three weeks of the season St Kilda took 39 marks inside 50. Since then it has grabbed just 16, which includes just seven in the past fortnight. That is seven fewer than the next worst team in that time, Richmond.

BUT AT THE OTHER END...

Defensively, the Saints have no peer.

They have conceded 76 fewer points than any other team in the competition. They are the hardest team to get the ball inside 50 against and once inside 50 they are clearly the hardest to goal against. St Kilda has conceded more than 54 points in just two games this season.

St Kilda's defensive game will have to be on tonight against Carlton. For the second year in a row the Blues are the most potent team from a first possession, scoring 26 per cent of the time. Only Geelong scores more regularly.

The concern for the Blues is their inability to defend a turnover. They have been scored against from 26.2 per cent of turnovers - the fourth-highest percentageconceded in the competition. Last week Collingwood outscored the Blues by 63 points from turnovers. The Saints have outscored their opposition by 148 points this season, of which 128 is made up of turnovers. They have created the most turnovers in the competition.

Interestingly St Kilda has won their past 12 against the Blues, but the gap has been closing in recent years.

That's a couple of weeks in a row I have got big collects on football multis. Last week I turned $40 into $900....

Think I might give up the JC's and nags and just punt football multis!

Got a bit lucky with the Brisbane/Freo game though...
