WC 1 pt off Glenelgs record SANFL score of 49.23 against the doggies. Would have been good fun for the locals at Fawk Reserve today watchin that!

Mark Smarts last game for the club before moving to WA, triple header at the club, few blokes coming back...

The B grade look very strong, stronger than the Houghton game IMO..

Hopefully it all reflects on the field and scoreboard Sat ;)

you sure you were at the right ground

Congrats to "The Hawks" they are travelling well.

Beware of "The Raiders" they will shape this comp.

"The Kooka's" are on the March!

Exams must be over "The Tossers" are still one of the favourites.

AND Shhhhhhhh.....Pleeeeease don't mention "the match of the round" - They're a bit sensitive! 8)

Care to give us a brief review? To be honest, didn't think your lads would bring home the points, let alone do it comfortably.

Beautiful conditions at Houghton Memorial Oval yesterday. It was great to play against old rivals with the game played in excellent spirit. A couple of late withdrawals to the Roos didn't help their cause, but they had us on the back foot early in the game and even when we had a lead in the last quarter we never felt the game was stitched up. Liam 'Bamm-Bamm' Davis sealed the win in the final stages of the game when his goalkicking radar kicked into gear.

the position of my old club mitchell park is very disappointing not only for the club and supporters but also the league.
yes, over the years they have had not had the best of reputations on the field but i believe that has not been the main problem.
what worries me is that this great club will struggle to remain vibrant and competive not only on the field but also off.
they have lost at least 10 senior players from last season and started off on a bad note when their appointed coach left before the season started for a better deal at his former club.
the biggest problem is the fact the club has no junior football of note and players in the area that are of quality go for the dollars in the surrounding bigger clubs, both amature and southern.
they may not have been everyones cuppa of tea but they always gave you a good tussle and enjoyed the contest.
they are a proud club and i hope they can fight their way out of this position as a lot of other clubs have been thru the same and came out the otherside a better club.
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

Don't think it is all doom and gloom, dee man. Yes, this year looks a write-off, but they will have the opportunity to consolidate in Division 7 and perhaps find some success there. A lot can change in a year. Current lads just need to stick it out and make the most of the off-field antics.
