We'll give you our C grade rejects but other than that P!SS OFF.

No Rosewater rep is coming forward, just letting you know the player you are chasing is yours if you pay his subs of around $450.
That fee being for last year & this.

I'll bite, I'm not really in the know about who is rumoured to be chasing who but I'm pretty sure you can only hold a player for one season's fees.
C Grade rejects - they must feel wanted.

WOW No Mercy, other clubs trying to poach players. Stop the presses, this is a first.

It happens every year, you can only offer. If the player is happy where he is he will stay. if he is not or the money is to good to refuse there is no reason to keep a bloke at a club he doesn't want to play at.
They are straight to their word, they don't talk a lot of smoke and mirrors behind windows.

In all honesty it would be a joke if the decision stands but hopefully if it does (which will not surprise me with the morons running the league) it will not effect our position on the ladder come round 18.

By the same token wouldn't everyone have known he was a registered Salisbury North player? Also whoever does the clearances would know it's a straight registration after 2 years off not just 1. Surely it would raise alarm bells?

I cant believe the SAAFL's "incompetence" is under scrutiny when clearly there was only one party out of Plympton, Elizabeth, and SAAFL, that made an error.

We're talking about the same club that wasnt aware how many were allowed on the bench of a C5 game in round 1, and the team manager came into the centre to speak with the umps to ask why plympton had so many on the bench.

It seems as if admin is afterthough for the eags.
Your a tool mate. Typical Plympton attitude :?

And as far as makin errors. Who was the person at SAAFL HQ that entered a newborn as a senior player? Maybe a bit of brainpower combined with commonsense, he/she may have picked up the phone to us and asked the question why? Problem sorted!

Plympton dont deserve the points from that day, we were far too good and should get our points back. End of Story!

Isnt it the last two seasons fees and if the player has already played in the current season they can be held being a "required player" or having signed a playing contract for the season?

Arnt most players cleared through iscore and not by submitting a form to the SAAFL?

this may have already been stated somewhere in previous pages, my question on this halliday matter is - did EFC lodge a 'new registration' for him in iscore or a 'clearance request' in iscore. if it was a 'new registration' then that was where the problem started.

on a slightly different player registration/clearance issue, iscore needs a review. we've had three players come to us this year who have not played anywhere for more than 2 years but are still in iscore as either an active or inactive player with a previous club which we then have to do a clearance for and wait for it to be attended to so that we are safe.

If you know a player hasnt played for over two years and he is still in Iscore
submit the clearance and send off an email to Kylie at SAAFL stating the player hasnt played for more than two years - she will check and if correct will then process it or you could ring the club he is coming from and ask them to clear straight away

Just a couple of ways to speed up the process

I wasn't going to comment before because of the he said, you said, they said but....

You will find that a player from Seaton initiated the discussion with Rosewater and not Rosewater. You will also find that a player from Seaton may have visited Rosewater at some point recently as well.
And no money was discussed.

And yes, any player who leaves a club for what ever reason needs to make sure they are financial.

What club, club person, coach etc wouldn’t say…if you’re not happy at wherever, we will be more than happy to join our club for the right reasons after the player had made comments about leaving?

And how many players state that they are unhappy, want to leave, not going to play anymore etc and change their mind a couple of days later. Particularly some younger, less experienced ones that can be impatient and dying to get a better opportunity either in a higher grade or more ground time etc.

I know for a fact that these players approached Rosewater (Very Reliable Source as well!), not Rosewater approaching them, so going by that maybe there is trouble at Seaton if players are looking to jump ship this early in the year........................

But the facts are that if you guys got the paperwork correct in the first place, none of this would have happen, you're having a go at SAAFL for administrative errors, when you guys were the first cab of the rank to make errors.

Bad luck, again, just get it right, can't be that hard, or dont people at elizabeth read documents before sending them in?

Who cares if you guys out at elizabeth are so good then don't worry about it and get on with playing footy.

I believe Plympton have a lot of improvment in them with some very good players to come back in over the next 2 weeks and they will knock elizabeth off next time fair and square!
