I quite understand why the visitors rooms need to be dramatically reduced and only one light provided to ensure that the Master Chef gets all the power she needs

Not pulling the preverbial....an enjoyable day and fantastic club

Yeah cheers mate. We have a great menu at the club and everything is reasonably well priced with meals costing $10, plus there is plenty of snacks aswell. Our kitchen staff do a great job and we all love the work they do to feed us well. Also our range of beers is as you said is really good, I was cheering when I saw Crown Lagers in the fridge last night. We have a good range of soft drinks and prettyboy drinks aswell. Again the prices for drinks are pretty good, beers have gone up from last year and now cost $4.70. And yeah our away changerooms are sh!t, they just seems to be used as storage these days.

I am going to put forward an idea to our committee that we play this weeks match down your way, can't wait till the return leg for some curry and rice. That's awesome!!!! I might be a late withdrawl for the match, might want the canteen ladies to make up a big batch.

There has been a couple posts about the game Boozehound, probably the same amount as the number of Eliz posts after the Eliz loss to BL the week before.

When will you be making your return to the Eagles line-up? Injured?

Looked like a young side when we played them, not to say they didnt have a few older blokes with experience though. As long as you keep their run and carry down you shouldnt have too many problems, but in saying that they will be full of confidence coming off a very good win against quality opposition last week!

I reckon Plympton's range of beers covers all tastes...

I hate it when i go to an opposing club and cant even get a carlton cold. I even at one club offered to go to the bottleshop and get a carton for them and they could sell them to me but they said no. (i didnt have an esky on me at the time to buy a carton for myself).

Great to see clubs 'raising the bar' with regards to bbq's and canteens and making the place more hospitable for opposition.

not quite the case there DJ. we paid $200 to have a trial game there at end of march. we didn't pay in 2009 when we had a trial and probably wont do it again since we didn't know until the invoice arrived the day before the game. figured that the takings that day would have been enough for the league.

as for saturday no share of the takings but no fee to hold the game there as far as i am aware. we ran a cash raffle, well supported by HV people as some of the surnames i recognised from team sheets, so we raised a few bucks for the day to compensate for the loss of match day revenue at home thru the canteen/bbq.

agreed TT. consistently inconsistent. even a bit of lip from one ump to a player on our bench in the first quarter, disappointing.

Im very surprised that the team who has their home game at Thebby doesnt share the bbq, canteen and bar profits in some form. Obviously the league would know how important BBQ/Canteen/Bar profits are in covering the running costs of a football club expecially the lower division clubs that would find it harder to attract sponsors to cover these costs.
